The Bari Star soprano sax reed works really well. No need to pre-soak. Just clamp it on and go. I normally use Hemke 3.5 reeds on my soprano. So I went with a medium soft Bari reed. It works really well. I just wish that I had purchased the soft Bari instead. I don't quite have the control I need with this reed thickness. Other than that, I like it. If you are out playing a gig and bust a reed and don't have a pre-soaked one ready then this is the reed to go to. I'm going to get one for my alto and tenor also. E
