The antenna label is red and indicates antenna is only for UHF (400 - 470 MHz). Another reviewer posted a photo. Build quality is good and attaches to my 5RM.

The original antennas on my radios ended up breaking around the outer sheathing while I had them stored in a case. They would slide around in the case and ended up breaking. This antenna is alot more ridged but still has some flex to it. The reception still seems to be good.

UV-5R_T1 ANTENNA IS MISLABELED. IT IS FOR UHF ONLY NOT VHF. IT IS NOT A DUAL-BAND ANTENNA!IT IS ADVERTISED AS DUAL- BAND. I HAVE 11 OF THESE , ALL ARE NOT LABELED FOR VHF BAND!TOTAL GARBAGE!
