Most of them were nearly identical, and our turning board has an extra thick EVA foam, high straight composite and a curvier shape for reduced friction. It works best on a solid floor, but good on dance mates depending on how thick it is. But a great buy for your beginner..

Works well enough. Can only support so much weight/sinks in middle from pressure. Needs some kind of grippy stuff in bottom to stick to hard wood type flooring so it doesn't slip. Doesn't move/slip on carpeting. I like the color choices; makes it fun/customizable

It was great, until….. My daughter was enjoying the disk and really getting the hang of it until she realized that it was scratching our marble floor!!! I can’t understand how this happened!

I wouldn't say this helps a ton but it does help. Most important thing is to try so if this makes your dancer want to try more, than it's a success.

My daughter dances on a competition team. Her dance teacher suggested this to help with turns. It does help with turns but also comic relief when she does not pay attention and goes flying off of it... i know, I probably seem like a horrible person. lol.... My point is that it works really well and is not as expensive as the "dance" store that sells the exact same thing.

I purchased this disc for my daughter who's been in ballet and gymnastics for 8 years ~ she LOVES it!! Hasn't stopped using it since I gave it to her!!! The more she's used it the better she gets with her balance and turns (especially on the balance beam). Well made, very sturdy, nicely packaged (great for gift giving), and shipped immediately!
