I write this review with the complete understanding that my grandfather, who taught me to shuffle and bridge, is very angry at me somewhere. Of course, he was never allowed to shuffle in our family games of Gin Rummy, because he could also stack a deck with alarming ease, no matter how closely he was being watched. All that time in aboard ships in the Pacific during the Second World War, I'm guessing. But, yes, I admit that I am a bit ashamed to be resorting to an automatic card shuffler, but my hands aren't as nimble as they once were, and I am now encountering games where upwards of 100 cards need to be shuffled. An automatic card shuffler is really nice for these situations. This guy gets the job done, with a few caveats. It is fast, going through a standard 52-card deck in about 1.5 seconds, and it makes a nice, neat pile. It can deposit the cards directly onto the table, or into an internal well, depending on what you want. It is lightweight and compact, and is certainly portable. It likes regular texture cards, but not slicker versions (like waterproof or sleight-of-hand, slick-faced cards). However, when I tried an Bicycle Illusionist deck, it jammed about 60% of the time. I ran a standard Bicycle deck through about 15 times, and had one jam. I may not have gotten the cards settled in correctly, though, as I was unable to duplicate the jam a second time. And no cards were damaged in the jam -- they simply had to be extracted carefully. It also worked well with my cards from the 7 Wonders game. It doesn't bend the cards, either, which is nice for longevity. But be aware that this shuffler is loud. It starts at 83 decibels and peaks at 95 decibels for a split-second. This is measured at arms-length (approx. 18") while sitting on a foam padded tabletop. When you press the button, conversation at the table is going to end for a couple of seconds, and if anyone is particularly sensitive to loud sounds, they are going to be unhappy. I was surprised at the volume of the noise, and not at all surprised at the decibel readings when I put my decibel meter on it. The noise is also sharp and percussive, which I found to add to my dislike of it, but your hearing may vary.It is sized for regular (2.5 x 3.5 inch) or slightly larger cards. It has an automatic shuffle feature which operates with a single button press and continues until it doesn't detect anymore cards, or you can use the manual shuffle button which only operates as long as the button is depressed. It charges via an included USB-A to USB-C cable. It is a nifty little device, particularly useful for games with a lot of cards that may only have to be shuffled once.

I tried this with a number of cards. What I found is that it can shuffle a number of differently sized cards, tray is sizeable and accommodates a nice variety. I did have some cards which were too big, but those were specialty games. I tried this with a mix of sleeved and unsleeved Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and it passed with flying colors! I was surprised it didn't jam on the sleeved cards.I prefer to keep the bottom closed and pull the cards out of the back. However, if you keep the back door open, the cards are more likely to jam. Glossier cards are more likely to jam. Mostly it will stop when a jam happens, but I did have one instance where it did not (again with very glossy cards and the back door was open). The tray holds a lot - I have an old Harry Potter Uno deck that for some reason is 4 decks big instead of the usual two, and it was fine with each two deck stack.I'm hoping this will work for smaller cards as well, like with the Zombicide cards, although I feel like those might be too small and will jam because they won't fall right. Those cards are a pain to shuffle like regular cards. I'd also like to test Gloom, because you definitely don't want those to bend, but are made of plastic all the way so I'd like to see how those hold up and how often it jams, if it jams with those cards. So if you want to keep your card decks pristine and unbent, this is a great shuffler. Battery life is phenomenal.

Love that this is rechargeable and doesn’t need batteries. It is noisy, but not so much that you need ear plugs. It’s definitely not silent. However, it is not as crazy loud as those big, bulky battery operated ones from the big box store. And, besides, the sound lasts only a few seconds. It shuffles one deck at a time very well. Two decks at a time is too much, and it doesn’t work. The directions that come with it are very hard to understand besides being able to see them since they printed it in micro print. The directions didn’t even say where the charging portal was, but I found it with turning the machine all around. Refer to the info on Amazon because that helps a lot. The bottom plate is removable if you want to just shuffle and lift the machine away. I keep the bottom plate on and just let the cards slide out because I’ll end up losing that plate. I love the automatic function. I just hit it, let go, and it shuffles. But, if you prefer, there is a manual button if you want to hold down on it for whatever reason and stop the shuffling. But since it literally takes 2-3 seconds to shuffle, I don’t know why you would. It’s a compact size, too, and I can see taking this with me on vacations or get togethers with friends. I highly recommend it! I think I’m going to order one for my mom who has arthritis in her hands. This will definitely come in handy for her, too.
