Really liked this piece, nice color, looks nice on the wall, if you’re looking at straight on and not from the side. The mount broad they have for this only sticks out from the wall about 2 1/2 inches, way to short to support the heavier front end. You could put some brackets underneath it to support the front and make it level but then it wouldn’t be a floating mantle. Most of the floating mantles have a mount bar with rods sticking out to support the front end, I didn’t pay much attention to that until I put this thing on the wall. Very disappointed in this, I will have to replace with another and try and pawn this thing off on someone else, which if your giving it away shouldn’t be too hard. Just I hate I’m out 99 dollars, booooooooooo

I do not usually write reviews but felt I must this time. The mantal is beautiful in appearance. The quality is excellent. I would have given it 5 stars except for the way it was to be installed. There was absolutely no way to firmly attach it to the wood V bracket.We used a mallet and wood block to try to push it together, to no avail. The mantal rolls forward when any pressure is applied making it impossible to display anything on it. Definitely a safety hazard if anyone were to grab hold of it accidently. We finally anchored it using 3 trim screws, placing them down into the V wood bracket. I now have 3 small holes in the mantal. Fortunately the mantal is high enough that they are not noticeable. You need to come up with a better way to mount. Other then that I am pleased with the mantal.

It came quickly and although the box was not in the best shape (carrier’s fault), the shelf was ok due to great packing.It looks so good on the wall! It is not a small shelf, about 9”deep by 48” long.
