With heavy gouging, your mantel will look like it's got more than a few stories to tell. This is a handcrafted hollow fireplace mantel. Our mantels are hand-made with love and passion. These mantels are as beautiful as they are useful, robust, light, and elegant. The distressed look is achieved by hand with attention to detail. As a result, no two beams are the same and your beam will be one-of-a-kind. Dimensions may vary slightly from selected, due to the nature of the wood and the time effect on it. We use pine boards for our distressed mantels. The final product might appear a bit lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

Pretty stoked about being able to get something made of real wood and solidly built from Amazon. It has an easy hanging mechanism that also allows it to be fully supported in the wall and it was easy enough to mount to the concrete on our fireplace. It's not flimsy and it looks great! Only downside is that the piece you mount to the fireplace/wall first, was warped so we had to make a shim for it to sit flush. Otherwise, very happy with this purchase since quotes for custom mantles were running around $1200.

We purchased the 1-tier Fireplace Mantel, Distressed, Rustic, Floating Shelf, Modern, Real Wood. (72Lx6Hx8D, Brown). Absolutely love it! I couldn’t find reviews of people using it just as a shelf so wanted to be sure to come back and leave a review. Not just a mantle. :) It looks great above the couch. The mounting on this big one was so easy and not complicated at all. The way it’s mounted it will hold a substantial amount of weight. We drilled the mounting ledge into the studs. It’s not overly heavy. Great craftsmanship and looks like it is real reclaimed wood. Perfect and exactly what we wanted. Would buy again for another area of the house as well. This would look great above our wall mount headboard. Love it!

Read a lot of good reviews and decided to purchase. Did not disappoint! Very sturdy. Pretty easy to install. Color spot on. I got the gray color. Super happy with purchase. We did end up using longer screws than the ones they gave us, but no big deal.
