High thermal conductivity

The surfaces of processor chips and cooler floors are covered with microscopic dents; ARCTIC‘s MX-4 thermal paste is composed of carbon microparticles which fill these cavities. This leads to extremely high thermal conductivity, ensuring that heat is dissipated quickly and efficiently from the CPU or GPU. With its outstanding performance, the MX-4 is not only an excellent choice for overclockers and enthusiasts, but also for other sapplications that require thermal transmission.

Easy application

Thanks to its consistency, MX-4 is easy to apply, even for beginners. The video in the picture gallery demonstrates the application technique to avoid air pockets between processors and coolers.

Secure usage

In contrast to pastes based on metal oxides or liquid metal, ARCTIC’s MX-4 is metal-free and not electrically conductive. This eliminates the risk of short circuiting, and eliminates the need to worry about corrosion damage to the radiator floor caused by liquid metal.

100 % original through Authenticity Check

To ensure that your paste is genuine, there is the ARCTIC Authenticity Check. This allows every product to be reliably verified. A counterfeit offers neither the performance nor the durability of the original ARCTIC pastes.

This paste is great, and I appreciate the little spreader stick. If it didn't last so long, I would be buying more!

Bought for a friend's PC build, not as viscous as some others I've used so potentially messier to clean but some good spatula work and it's not a problem. Good temps on my friends Ryzen 5 7600 with a Thermalright Assassin King of around/up to 60 degrees whilst gaming. Cheaper than the successor Mx-6 but unless your running a really hot CPU this works fine. Plus you can get a big tube to boot!

Who knows how any of this stuff works, right? You put it under your CPU because they tell you to. You know it's working because they tell you it is. You believe it is a good price because they say so. I didn't research any tests of this type of compound, and just bought this product as a name-brand best-in-class advertised product extravaganza. Does my computer overheat? No. Does this product have any effect on my processor temperatures? Who knows? Is it worth the $$ for the peace of mind knowing I have done all I can do for CPU heat transfer? I don't sleep any better at night. Does Dell use this product? Probably not, but who knows?

I recently made some changes to my PC cases in my house and while I was moving the motherboard to different cases, I thought I should re-apply thermal paste on all the processors. This paste works very well. My Unraid Server with an i3-12100 processor is working really well and staying under 30 degrees c. The attached pic is from my unraid server.I also re-applied paste to my other PC with AMD 3700x processor and that one showed 10 degree lower temps compared to before with the same fan.

It was my first time assembling a PC and this thermal paste is really great.Easy to apply and the spatula helps a lotMy processor stays under 45ºC for regular tasks and under 70ºC for gaming. With stock paste it was 55ºc and 85ºcReally happy with this purchase.A remarkable aspect of this paste is that is good for novice builder like me because is not hard like other pastes, so you don't need to heat the tube.

Exactly what it says it does. Applies easily and works well. Especially for the price. It actually brought my CPU temp down about 5 degrees.

I bought them because i've been using the HY510 and the temperature under high stress situations were about 80/85 degrees. Today i switch from it to the mx4 and it maintains the cpu temperature 75> under the same situations, i highly recommend it. (those temperatures are on Ryzen 5 1600 underclocked till 3.6Ghz)

I was scared to buy this as I was afraid if this might be fake, but This is original as I saw online, Artic engraved logo, new box packaging and triangular QR code, reduced CPU temperatures is the proof. This paste has 8.5 Watt, thermal conductivity.Electrically non conductive.I used a small uncooked rice size amount of paste.I'm using a Intel stock cooler and didn't expected this huge temperature reduction. This thermal paste is good, and I will recommend using this.8grams of paste is going to last along for more than 12months.

I've used the MX4 for years and have been happy with it. It's cheap, easy to apply, and works well medium powered cpus/gpus. It was always my go to. I just like it.With today's hotter and more power hungry parts, it has fallen out of grace. It's just not as good. It works in most situations, but for money, there are better options. For my high end parts I use Kryonaut. That's for an RTX 3090 waterblock, 6900XT waterblock, 5900X, 3900XT.I started to notice that it wasn't quite as good when using it on an RTX 3090, the Temps were not too much better than the stock paste, and the clocks were not staying consistently as high as I hoped.Going through the pain of tearing down the 3090 and repasting it led to the same results. Switching to Kryonaut saw significant performance increases and temp decreases.Building in ITX cases with low profile coolers with an AMD 3900XT saw the MX4 fall in line with a lot of the other pastes. Just average.I also got some Thermalright TF8 for cheap on Black Friday. It outperformed the other pastes like the MX4, MX5, Noctua, BeQuiet, Coolermaster, and some other stock pastes by a noticeable degree.I'm in the process of building in 8 ITX cases with air cooling, and a 3900XT & A520I which doesn't let me change voltage/ core clock speeds. With small coolers, tight spaces, and high wattage, you get to see what works, and what doesn't.I've been going through a lot of paste with all these builds, and testing out all the pastes I have.MX4 performed on the average side. When the good paste TF8 kept the cpu from throttling, the MX4 and other pastes failed. They all crept over 90 C and the clocks dropped.I still bought MX4 again as I like arctic fans and AIOs, but the paste has aged compared to the newer stuff that is made to handle the hungrier cpus and gpus.It is better than the runny messy MX5. It cooled slightly better, but sure was a runny mess. I understand why Arctic discontinued it.Better Options:Thermal Grizzly KryonautThermalright TF8I'll still use MX4 for repasting old GPUs and anything that doesn't really get too hot, but there are better options now.Pros:It's MX4. You know what it is, how it performs, and you like it.It's like a Honda.Easy application and clean up.CheapCons:Average performance.Better options for more money.
