It's a bit thick, but the performance is excellent. I recommend placing it in a water proof bag and dipping it in hot water to bring the consistency down for manageable application. The included spreader is useful.

I’ve used the TF7 and was very impressed with it and wanted something similar to a noctua paste that I had and this is very similar to that. In the past I was using paste from Arctic and just wasn’t happy with how thin it was and it often broke down very quickly on my HP Elitebook laptop with a ryzen 5 5650u pro. Once I replaced it with the TF8 the temperature dropped by about 4-5 degrees and it no longer thermal throttled so bad.My ryzen desktop still is using the TF7 and it hasn’t shown any signs of wearing down but for laptops or possibly direct Die like GPUs I think the TF8 is a great choice.Only gripe is, it’s very thick, kinda hard to work with, but I think that comes with the territory of paste like this.I think thermalright is doing something right. Hard to beat for the price and the performance you get out of it.

There are many different thermal interface materials (thermal grease, thermal pads, etc.), and among the thermal grease/thermal compounds that are spreadable, Thermalright TF8 is usually one of the top testers, both in terms of performance, ease of use, value, and durability.There are some better ones but TF8 is so close to the top we've pretty much switched to it entirely.

I have the best luck with this thermal paste. Some of the best temps (slightly worse than TFX) but it lasts a long time (2 years between applications, without any issues).Easily spreadable and comes with a little spreading spatula.I have bought probably 20 vials of TF8 and I continue to use it happily. All my rackmount servers use this as well for the best temps. I see 3-5C drops vs the stock paste that comes on the coolers.

The paste works great. The 2 mg is plenty and can be used for several laptops.The cooling is significantly improved on brand news my Thinkpad x1 yoga gen 7.
