We bought six of these for our deck and at first I was thrilled with the quality and looks. We filled them with commercial potting soil and added plants and for a while they looked and performed as advertised.Then we had a steady rain one day and one of them broke with the pinned attachment shearing off. The break was in the body of the pot so it was not repairable with a new part. We replaced it thinking it was a fluke but since then three more have broken in the same way.The weight of the wet potting soil appears to be too much for the structural strength of the plastic.It is a pity since the design is otherwise very nice.

I loved these planter boxes that fit my deck railing. The leveling support kept the boxes from tilting. Unfortunately, this summer I noticed the arms weren’t staying flush with the deck railing anymore. It turns out that the plastic tabs that lock the arms in place had broken. This is the thinnest plastic on the product, so it makes sense that it failed. Everything else is sturdy so I purchased some metal brackets and I’m back in business. However, these were much more expensive than basic plastic planter boxes, so I don’t think this product lives up to a higher rating.

Overall, these planters work great. The two issues I had were that they barely fit a 2x5 railing - even with the brackets fully extended. It is a tight squeeze to get them on and fit. My other issue is that one planter came with two parts missing; the top cap piece for where the brackets clip, and the metal insert support bar for planter support and so they don't stretch out. The planter still works, but it would have been nice to have that since now I have one planter that has all pieces, and one does not.

The mechanism to adjust the fit of the arms is very cool, and this is the best patio side hanging planter I could find.Only issue is missing pins. Both my planters were missing a pin for one of their arms.

Planter seems to be decent quality, but arrived missing 2 plugs and 1 leg. Tried to contact seller, but can’t find any contact info. Will be returning.

This item was delivered with multiple parts missing. It’s poorly constructed. It’s covered with giant stickers that do not come off and leave behind residue that make it unsightly and unusable. DO NOT BUY THIS. You will regret it.

The arm pins will not stay in place and keep popping back out. They look ready to fall of the deck rails. The manufacture must be cheating on quality. The design seems right if theses units were built to a higher quality standard.Amazon, you should not allow this product to be sold to your customers!

I bought three planters, one of which had a small piece missing. I contacted the company (headquarters in Canada, btw) and almost immediately traded emails with two very competent and concerned individuals who quickly got a piece in the mail for me. Their friendliness, competence and efficiency, as well as a desire to see that their product was received in the first class method by which they expect it to be, had me marveling at how much better business would be everywhere if it was modeled after Apollo Exports International. If there were more than five stars, I'd be clicking furiously now. And the planters? High quality, attractive, durable, and certainly going to be filled with flowers for our bees to enjoy. All in all, this is a win-win for us, thanks to the Apollo.
