The skates bindings would not stay. I would not buy these again.

These skates were the best invention ever for babies that want to skate. My 2 yr old daughter who wears a size 5 in infant shoes is very independent and wants to do everything her big sister does. I already imagined a meltdown had I not found these for her to participate with us for holiday skating. The quality was great. I did wish the velcro went all the way around but with some thread and needle I was able to tailor them to her foot size to fit snug. They worked great and held on tight for the 2 hrs she skated. She had a blast. She was even able to skate a few seconds without assistance (although I hovered like a military helocopter). Highly recommend!!! They extend to fit your kid as they grow!

These skates are perfect for a 2-4 year old. The blades are wide enough for balance and they do not have sharp edges so little fingers won’t get cut. The size is adjustable and they easily strap around boots. They remind me of the roller skates and key of the 60’s-70’s 😁

These skates work great with 2 minor modifications. I read the reviews on the downfalls of these skates and proactively made some mods which worked great:1. Add red loctite to the screws. There are screws that allow you to adjust the skates size, and these screws also hold the skates together. Other reviewers state that these fall off causing the skates to come apart. Red loctite will keep them in place. Red loctite is super strong, but the screw can still be removed with a wrench if you need to adjust the size in the future.2. Wrap velcrow around the strap locks. Reviewers stated that the strap lock comes off due to pressure. Wrapping the strap lock with velcro prevented the straps from coming undone. With these mods my daughter had a great day skating. The double blades allow her to stand and walk around on the ice.

I read the other reviews before buying them knowing that I'd have to rig the straps or modify them with Velcro straps. Took my two year old skating for the first time with the skates and the straps stayed on as I knotted them and then tied the extra strap at the ends together. A side note the straps are not how they appear on the box- a bit misleading. Instead of the straps falling off as I expected the wing nut fell out when she was skating and her skates fell apart. That was the end of our skating. I will buy another wing nut- easily fixable. Many people commented on how cute they were. My daughter was confident enough to try to skate on her own with these skates. For the price they are worth buying them and modifying them.

Pros:-The skates are solid and a hefty feel. They should hold up for many yearsCons:-There is one screw on the bottom to adjust the length. This creates a pivot point so it is hard to make the blades level. While it is just a small difference the skates can rock back and forth.-The straps and buckles are cheap. When you start to tighten the straps down the clip snaps off. Due to this you can't tighten the straps down and the skates fall off.-The skates are heavy. Makes it hard for little ones to lift them up.

Bought these for a birthday party we were invited to. They worked out perfectly. Only issue is that I wish the straps were velcro but not a big deal. My son didn't want to get of the ice he was having a blast! I like that they are double edged. They are expandable which is great. Another child at the party used them as well and loved them.

These skates are awful. The buckles don't stay buckled; we had to tie the straps together with knots. The front of the skates come apart from the back of the skate. My poor daughter ended up running around on the ice in her sneakers (to the chagrin of the rink staff) because the skates simply wouldn't work.
