I wanted to love these but they have one major flaw: they can't be sharpened! We tried them on my son and he used them for the first time in ice skating class last night and they were horrible! He kept falling which we found out afterwards was because they had never been sharpened. The pro-shop at our rink said they had no edge and the steel blade was peeling which told us that it had never been sharpened. I thought these were factory sharpened and useable out of the box. How did this have so many great reviews??? Anyway, the worst part was that the hole between the blade and the boot of the skate is too narrow to fit on any sharpening machine! We went to every single sharpener in our city and none of them could sharpen these. They suggested we return them. What a horrible product! The skate looks nice and is easy to adjust but is useless on the ice unless you can get it sharpened, which apparently would only be possible on an old type of machine that no one has or by hand. I'm so disappointed. I bought these because our rink uses Roces and I never would have imagined they made a skate that didn't fit the industry standard sharpening machine that the rink (and everyone in town) uses. Now I have to deal with paying extra to ship these back and try to find a different pair of comparable skates for my son. What a big hassle this has been! I just wanted to warn others...

Great quality!!! What a difference from other brands. I can stress enough how well made these are. My son loves these! The fit is perfect and adjusting the size is very easy.

Great idea. I love the idea of being adjustable. It's always disappointing to outgrow something so quickly.
