I'd give this router bit 0 stars, if possible. It was dull right out of the package. It would barely touch western red cedar... It burned it, gouged it, and made an outright mess of my project which was already 4 days in. Save your money and find something else. This is NOT what I expected. Now I will have to figure out what to do to recover from the mess it made. Fingers crossed that I can as I'm days in and I've spent a bunch of money on material, not to mention the wasted money on this router bit.

Using the trim bit to route a handle onto my cutting board from a template. On the 2nd cut, the router jerked (as if I were cutting from the wrong direction). I then noticed the bit was wobbling so I was going to reset the bit (maybe I didn’t secure it tight enough), but nope- the blade was chipped pretty bad! This bit lasted just 3” of cut wood.

I had to flush trim some 1.5" thick material and this bit did a great job.

Great bit, you can't go wrong with "Amana". They make high quality tooling, I am a cabinet maker professionally. I have alot of experience with their products.

Me gusta el filo que tiene. Corta como cortar una rebanada de jamón. Deja el cirte muy limpio. Espero me dure mucho.

I've got a whole bunch of router bits from various brands. Cheap chinesium. Expensive and great chinesium. American, etc. But, now that I needed a bit that could really grab a piece of wood, I went looking Amana and was not disappointed. Dropped it into my router and it's been a consistent and predictable tool.

Thought this would be a quality product manufactured to be durable. I was wrong. The wheel bearing flew off during first use.Revised: After getting another bit from a different brand, the same thing happened. The bearing flew off the other bit as well. The part I was working with is about 35 lbs and I was taking too much material at a time, and this seemed to loosen up the screw that held the bearing in place. After screwing the bearing back on and roughly removing some of the material so the bit only trim off a smaller amount of material, this bit performed better than the other one I had. It stayed sharper and made quality cuts. I wish the screw on top did not become loose with heavy material, but I do think this works great for trimming off rough cuts. Giving it 4 stars.

This router bit did exactly what I needed it to do, specifically, allowed me to effectively joint boards that were 1.5" thick without using a jointer. I was able to use it to get straight edges on four boards that were each seven feet long, and was then able to subsequently glue those together to make a desktop. In that regard, the bit did exactly what I wanted it to do, and I had no issues with alignment, sharpness, etc.; it worked as advertised. I cannot give any opinions as to durability, because I haven't had the opportunity to use it over a long period of time; there's no reason to believe, however, that it wouldn't be durable (I just could not test that). Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

It worked really well for me. I needed something very long and this fit the bill for me. I was worried it might not work being so long but just as long as you don't try to take on too much your wood should be able to handle it. The length was a little troubling at first but once I got the hang of it it wasn't a problem to slide it along the wood.My only concern was its thickness may have been a little too small. I wish it were a little larger so that it wouldn't bend from the force applied. I tried to not put so much on it with each motion but sometimes you just want to get it over with and end up causing burns. Anyway, good product.

I purchased this trim bit out of the need for a longer bit. Since woodworking is a serious hobby, I tend to buy quality tools so they can be used over and over again, while producing quality results. To put it bluntly, this bit rocks! It's the first Amana bit I've purchased, and now I'm a believer. Smooth trimmings occurred everywhere it's been used, and I will add Amana to my list of brands for router bits alongside Whiteside, CMT, and Infinity. Bit was used in a Bosch 1617 (not EVS).
