About this item

  • DuoPre XLR Microphone preamps, including 48V Phantom power for condenser microphones and up to 69dB of gain. Each preamp uses two gain stages to provide a full and accurate sound across the entire gain range with enough power for even the most gain hungry mics.
  • Every mono channel, each group and the main mix feature insert sockets for connection of external processors like compressors or graphic equalisers to apply dynamic and tonal shaping on a per-channel or group basis as well as over the whole mix.
  • A 100Hz High Pass Filter on every mono input allows unneeded low frequencies to be removed, then the 3-band MusiQ EQ with swept mid frequency uses carefully selected frequencies to ensure your sound sculpting is always musical. Cut or boost highs and lows with shelving EQ and use the mid frequency selection to choose exactly where to adjust the mid frequencies, especially useful for vocals, guitar and other instruments with a rich mid-range.
  • Two ‘Pre-Fade’ Auxiliary outputs enable separate mixes to be sent to monitor speakers or any feeds that require a mix of channels independent of the main mix. Two ‘Post-Fade’ Auxiliary outputs sends signal at a level which follows the send level to the main mix, ideal for use with external FX units, feeds to subwoofers or creating a mix for streaming or recording. A further two Auxiliary outputs can be switched between pre-fade and post-fade operation on a per-channel basis.
  • A routable stereo-in stereo-out USB connection makes it easy to record the whole main mix or just the channels you need and enables a stereo return from the connected device to be routed back to the mix. It’s also class compliant and does not require drivers, meaning not just Mac and Windows computers can be connected, but also many mobile devices such as tablets or even smart phones.
  • 32 Mic, 32 Line/Inst, 2 Stereo (2Left, 2 Right), 2 USB Audio

This mixer has exceeded my expectations so far. Clean sound, lots of gain, no distortion at full gain. Great compact 24 channel 4 bus board. Very safisfied.

I purchased this mixer for the uses at my small recording and concert studio. The reasons for chosing this mixer are;1. It has 7 outputs with sliders of equal sizes, which enable me to control 7 monitor speakers for 7 output channels mixing.2. It has 6 AUX outs which enable me to 6 independent mixs and send the mixs to musicians headphones.3. 32 mic. input channels cover all microphones that are used for recordings and multi-channels outputs from the recorder. Although I use separate preamps for the recordings, the mixer's preamplifiers on each channel can be used for recordings too, because all channels have direct outs and independent phantom power switch. I am considering to purchase another one for field recordings with the use of a combination with MOTU 24 I/O. Performances of mic. preamps are not top notch, but, well usable at live recording environments.4. 4 stereo inputs take signals from computer, CD player and musician's tablets.Signal routings are very well thought and easy to use, considering very large number of knobs, sliders and cable connectors. Positions of knobs and sliders are logical. This mixer significantly enhanced conveniences at my studio.

We bought this Allen and Heath mixer for the sound exceptional quality and it has not disappointed us. I would have gave it a higher rating but the upon receiving the mixer from UPS the box completely fell part. The mixer almost hit the ground. I strained my back trying to catch it. It is the manufacturer's box which means it could have fell out and UPS guys kept it together enough until delivery. I was so worried it wasn't going to work but has not shown any signs of trouble for the last 4 weekends.
