About this item

  • The compact ZED range of mixers feature the same high-level audio and build quality as A&H’s large format touring consoles, with separate internal channel boards, Neutrik connectors and every pot fixed to the chassis.
  • Full, clear and detailed preamps with low noise, 60dB of gain and 48V phantom power bring out the best in any microphone. Two of the mono channels also have a HiZ connection to allow direct connection of high impedance sources without the need for a separate DI box.
  • A built-in, studio quality multi-FX unit provides 16 different, tweakable FX types including reverbs, delays and modulation with tap tempo to keep everything in time. These are not your average compact mixer FX either, using algorithms developed entirely in-house by our DSP experts rather than an ‘off-the-shelf’ chip.
  • The routable stereo USB output can be used to record/stream the whole mix, Aux and FX sends or the dedicated record bus which has switches on each channel which make it super easy to select just some channels for recording. It’s also class compliant and does not require drivers, meaning not just Mac and Windows computers can be connected, but also many mobile devices such as tablets or even smart phones.
  • Optional rack ear kit [ZED60-10FX-RK19] securely fits the mixer into a standard 19” rack or flight case.
  • 4 Mic, 4 Line/Inst, 2 Stereo (2 Left, 2 Right), 2 USB Audio,1 Stereo Playback

Live or in the studio, Allen & Heath's ZED60-10FX is an ultra-portable mixer for solo artists and small bands. The ZED60-10FX adds premium quality 60mm faders for that intuitive, tactile mixing experience. This small, 6-channel mixer packs an incredible amount of connectivity along with built-in digital effects. It's a great companion for live mixing, live recording, and multi tracking over USB. It features 4 mic/line inputs with 3-band EQ and Phantom Power. Channels 3 and 4 have 1/4-inch Hi-Z instrument-level inputs for connecting guitars, electric basses, etc. There are 2 additional stereo channels for connecting keyboards or other stereo sources, like a CD player or iPod. The channel strips of the ZED60-10FX have big functionality for a small format mixer. Each channel features low and high frequency shelving EQ, while the mono channels add a 100Hz high pass filter and an extra band of sweep able midrange. An FX send on each channel controls how much signal is sent to the onboard effects bus, while an Aux send can feed an independent monitor mix. After the panning controls, each channel can be sent or bypassed from the recording bus, post-EQ solo'd with the Listen button, or muted. The final stage of each channel strip is a 60mm level fader, providing a tactile mixing experience. There are 16 digital effects built into the ZED60-10FX, including delays, reverbs, doubler, flanger, and chorus. These same effects algorithms are used on the Allen & Heath flagship digital consoles. Each preset has a parameter adjust control to morph the overall intensity of the effect. The output section of the ZED60-10FX is perhaps its most versatile element. In addition to the balanced XLR main outputs, there are recording outputs and switchable-source monitor outputs both with stereo RCA connectors. Additionally, a USB output allows you to route the recording bus directly into a computer.

The build quality of this thing is very high. Overall a very impressive mixer. Lower high end or the top of entry level depending on your needs.Overkill for streaming, unless your running a show with multiple people or instruments. But way more versatile and higher quality than a GoXLR, but without the effects pad built in. There's actually more effects but only one slider to and button to control one of them at a time. But you can run pedals through this thing if you want for hands free effects. But the goXLR only having one input is a deal breaker. This thing makes the goXLR seem like it should be worth at least 5x less for what you have to pay for it.I wouldn't buy one for more than 100 dollars, because that's all they're really worth when compared to actual mixers (like this one).

Great unit that is really quite, has a versatile eq section and overall exactly what I was needing. Had purchased a Mackie that was very noisy and did not sound as good as the AH, returned the Mackie for a refund and bought the AH.

I absolutely love this mixer, its well built and of very good quality. what else would you expect from Allen & Heath. If you want it for small gigging, or recording, get it.Its got a brilliant sound effects bar on it, so you've plenty of effects to play with, and the quality of it in general, is superb. The sliders and knobs are well built and very sturdy.A must have if you do a'lot of solo gigging.

I replaced my ZED 12FX that I had been using for 7+ years with this ZED60 10FX, and this smaller model with the faders is exceptional.First off, this will fit into an 8U mixer rack case, which is much easier to haul around than the 12U case required for the ZED 12FX. Although installing the rack ears is a bit of a pain as you have to disassemble the entire board, and most of the screws are Torx (T9 and T10).The 60mm faders are well built and the preamps are fantastic. No noise, and clean, crisp sound. Much improved over the ZED 12FX.The effects are very high quality and actually useful! Tap delay itself is rare on FX boards, and this has 5 different delay/reverb effects that utilize tap. Effect adjustment is very simple as well.Overall, the ZED60 10FX is a bit pricey compared to other small FX mixers, but the quality and versatility cannot be beat!

Constant noise in left channel that wouldn't go away. I have had many mixers over the years from a radio Shack cheapies to inexpensive Mackies. All of them just worked fine. This was sad- I returned it.

Great mixer! Love the features and love the fact that this is not another product made in China. Allen & Heath have done a terrific job designing a high quality mixer with a small footprint which is ideal for your desktop or taking out on location. I used this at a summer camp and was able to plug my MacBook Pro into it without using any of the mic inputs. My only complaint is that it's a little high priced but you get what you pay for.(12-29-13) Update on my earlier review this product is engineered in the U.K. but is made in China. Still love the mixer although I wish it were made elsewhere considering the cost of the product. For those of you wondering about the effects on the mixer they are terrific! The effects sounds are completely customizable to whatever your needs might be. We use this mixer quite often for youth events at our church and I recently took it out on location for our churches puppet troop. So far it has preformed like a trooper.

I've used different mixers before, but none come close to this one. This is a heavy mixer for anyone, who was under the impression that this unit, was light and small. I didn't see the dimensions, I overlooked that. This thing is heavy and it's built great. I have yet to really mess with the effects. I have used a microphone, and this sounds perfect. I've used an audio interface before, while it sounded extremely good, this mixer just puts it to shame.I also have hooked up, a guitar to the mixer. Sounds good. Music sounds fantastic as well. I highly recommend this product to anyone out there reading. It is expensive, you probably can buy other mixers out there, that have more inputs and effects. However I only needed 4 xlr inputs max. I can reassure you that, you won't be able to find a mixer that sounds better than allen & heath units.
