Be careful when you order Hardware just by looking at it. You never know if it's that stiff hardened metal (hard metal that bends slightly but keeps its shape) or soft metal that bends and stays deformed.Most of the smaller, affordable shelve hardware tend to be a little bit thin where the weight of the shelf flexes downward.If you put too much on the Shelf it'll just down tilt and slide everything off of it so make sure you overestimate your mounting hardware specs to have shelf brackets that are stronger than what the Shelf needs,(not weaker)By trying to save money on brackets, you end up with a weaker shelf set up, so get to the obviously heavy-duty brackets...Hardware is not the place for economy.

These brackets are exactly what I wanted. They’re not thin metal brackets they’re substantial and they’ll do the job perfectly. I’m very happy I purchased them.

I am doing EVERYTHING I can to drill a 3/8 inch hole into these and they do. Not. Budge. I’m using Magic Tap. I’m putting my whole body weight on the drill. I’m going as slow as I possibly can. I’m using a good carbide bit and being patient, and 20+ minutes later I still haven’t widened the hole. I even tried high speed in a different spot just in case the internet was lying. By all accounts this should have cut like butter. These brackets are infuriatingly stable and impenetrable. They will probably outlive me and taunt all future occupants of this house, who will wonder why the bottom shelf of the slide out pantry doesn’t have any bars to help prevent items from falling off, like the rest of the shelves have. I’m an extremely stubborn person, but I think the brackets have bested me. Annoying for me, but definitely a testament to their strength.

Likes: Three mounting holes add to the sturdiness. Good appearance with rounded corners. Good length of both arms. I am using them on 1 X 8 shelves for a total of 11 feet long. The shelves will overhang by about 3.25 inches because I bought these originally for 1X6 shelving but changed after my purchase to 1X8. I do not expect any problems with the relatively light load - no books or heavy items will be on them.Dislikes: Screws included were not long enough to hit the studs through the sheetrock and no wall anchors were included. I had to purchase a separate box of 8 X 1 1/4" wood screws in order to properly mount the brackets on the walls to hold any weight at all on the shelves. The 3/4" long screws should be ok for screwing the shelves to the brackets but may be marginally too long for a 1X thick shelf that has a nominal width of 3/4". At least one screw was malformed with no head. I have not checked all the packets to see if any others were that way. Because I needed to purchase longer screws this will not pose a problem in my case. They appear to be sturdy and are easy to hang. The three-star rating on value is because I had to purchase additional screws.

We used these as solar panel brackets. They provide a sturdy solution while being attractive at the same time. The stainless steel makes them extremely durable and maintenance free for outside situations. . We were looking for black and were willing to pay a little more for not needing to paint other brackets that might have also met our needs. The height of the bracket allowe plenty of room for air circulation around the panels.
