As others have said, the slot isn't deep enough. It was pretty easy for me to modify, but that won't be true foe everyone, plus I shouldn't NEED to modify it.Another quality product from China.By the way, I had an older one that I bought when it was Rubbermaid. It didn't need any modification.

These work fine but are not perfectly compatible with the cheaper shelves that were already in the closet. It works. No issue with the product. Time to upgrade the shelf!

This fit perfect for a missing brace in my son's closet. The rack for his clothes had a lean to it. I bought this and it fits perfectly. It's supporting the rack very well. No more lean. Seems a good quality to me. Not a cheap thin metal. I definitely think it was a good value for the money. I am just now summiting this review because I wanted to wait and see how well it held up. It's great so far. It was also very easy to install.
