I made an 'ironing' board for our quilt shop out of 3/4" nice plywood (24x60) I wanted to attach to one side our the cutting table and make it easy access without having to bring out and put away the old metal folding type. These drop hinges are just what I needed. I would not put #300 of anything with these hinges, unless you had 4x4 leg supports. One hinge didn't quite collapse all the way...just used a pair of channel locks to pull the back support closer together and done, works fine. Anything you buy today has to tweeked or adjusted anyway so it was no big deal. They don't come with screws and I am fine with that, I use what I want not what they give me. All-in-all, these are easy to install, not flippy-floppy and have a great price.

Purchased for my van conversion. Good quality stainless steel; use some emery cloth or similar on edges and quit whining about how sharp they are. Function well. Installation requires great care in all three dimensions: tops of verticals must be same height, parallel alignment of verticals, parallel alignment of horizontals (when deployed). The big knock I have is that these are NOISY when you are going down the road. Mine had isolating/spacing washers at four of the six hinged points. Were missing washers at the top two vertical hinge points, and that's where the horrible racket comes from, even on highway surfaces. I couldn't take it and removed them. Maybe it was a quality control issue? I can re-install it fairly quickly with wing nuts in my application, but it really cuts into the practicality of the device. These would be great in a stationary setting like a shop or kitchen, even in a trailer, but I can't recommend them for a van or motorhome where you have to hear the rattle they make. 330lbs? Nope. 100? Easy, maybe even 200 if static and carefully placed.

EDIT: Nov 2022 - these are still up with no warping or rust in desert SW climate. The hinge pin issue still bugs me but they are functional after 18 months exposed to the elements. Bumping it up a star.Let me preface this by saying I purchased these in July 2019. We had just bought a house with a much smaller yard than we’d had previously, and we were trying to find ways to host the same amount of people in less space. Having collapsible tables was one of the solutions we came up with…. I then got very sick, the pandemic hit, and you know the rest. SO – they never got installed or even opened. Fast forward almost two years, and we finally got around to getting this project done in April 2021. We purchased two pairs of the 14” brackets and mounted them on cinder blocks with 48”x16” pine boards attached to the top.Upon opening the packages we discovered that one set was brand new with plastic overwrap and all that. The second package appeared to be a return. There was no plastic overwrap, the finish was scratched and dented, and there were marker marks on them. We could have looked past all that (after all, you’re not going to see them), but unfortunately both of the brackets were damaged; the hinge pin that attaches at the bottom of the stationary arm was broken and thus the diagonal support just swung freely (another user’s photo shows this exact same failure). This was the exact same issue on both brackets, which leads me to believe that it is a faulty piece that will likely fail soon on the set that came new, as well. I did write the seller and ask if they had a replacement pin available or knew where one could be purchased (totally understand it’s been two years, so I was not requesting a replacement), but they just directed me to Amazon’s return policy, which of course is 30 days. So, no help at all in that regard. I have searched pretty extensively for something similar, but it’s not looking good.Installation, as others mentioned, was a PITA. The brackets have to perfectly level to sit correctly. What I did was attach the brackets to the board first, set the board on a table against the wall at the height I wanted, then marked the holes for the brackets on the wall. I then removed the brackets from the board, pre-drilled a single hole at a time in the wall, attached the bracket each time and RE-MARKED the next hole for drilling each time to ensure they were perfectly level and that the drill didn't skew the screws off center. Both came out perfect and level and look great...but...it was a PITA and took most of a Saturday to complete. For the time being, we have kept the broken pieces of the hinge pin and re-insert them when we want to use the table, but we will be looking for a more permanent fix in the near future. Like another user posted in the reviews, we will likely end up replacing with a bolt. I will get four because I do think the other two will probably fail like so many others have. All that said, I feel—for our purposes—these brackets are great and I don’t regret the purchase (just wish I’d opened and inspected them when they arrived). Mounted into the concrete cinder blocks they are very solid and don’t budge at all. We don’t put a bunch of weight on them – just plates, drinks, etc., but I feel they could definitely hold a lot more (though I wouldn’t test it with the rated 330 lbs). They’ve been installed outside for just over a month and they are holding up nicely. Time will tell, but so far no rust or warping. If it weren’t for the hinge pin issue and lackluster customer service, I’d give them 5 stars. As it is, I will give them 3.

Worked great using a 3/4” plywood 48Wx36H.Easy to fold down & raise into place with built in locking mechanism. To install the portion that mounts to the wall, I recommended using a minimum length of 12” drill extension for the screws or get a 12” long drill screw bit. This makes installation a breeze. You may also want to get longer/heftier screws than the ones included & mount it to a stud. It’s rated for 330lbs but I personally wouldn’t put anything heavier than 50lbs on it.Overall, I’m satisfied with the product & price. I bought another set after I was pleased with the results/quality of my first pair.

This is a great product, but the lever release needed a fix on one. One release lever did not lock and would suddenly release totally. I noticed the lever end closest to wall was not able to fully move past a round locking bar, because it hit the bar instead of moving past it. I used a Dremel grinding tool to remove 1/32" of end lever end. This allows lever to fully clear the round bar.Now the bracket locks completely, and as designed, resulting in an excellent product. This was a manufacturing failure, not a design failure.

Brilliant piece of engineering, easy to use once installed, however, not installation guides & while some screw holes are positioned to allow acres to be set by a drill, the position of some of the screw holes requires thin manual screwdrivers & quite a bit of manipulating.

My girlfriend wanted a table with a smaller footprint in her back yard. I built the table with folding leaves and these brackets fit the bill perfectly. They are supporting a tiled table top that weighs about 40lbs on each side. (guestimate) and do the job well. Hopefully they hold up outdoors. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy. They were a bit difficult to screw on because of the angle you had to work at with the drill. I would recommend some long driver bits to get things seated correctly.
