This AIDA GFCI outlet is a solid, reliable product that gets the job done without any fuss. I’m not an expert at electrical work, but this was surprisingly easy to install. The instructions are straightforward, making it super accessible even for someone with minimal experience. Everything you need comes in the box, including a wall plate, which was a nice touch. One of the features I like is the self-test function and the LED indicator. It gives me peace of mind knowing it’s constantly checking itself for safety. It’s tamper-resistant and weather-resistant, which makes it perfect for outdoor or bathroom use. The design isn’t anything fancy, but it’s practical and blends in well with most wall setups.Overall, it’s a great value for the price. It’s well-packaged, easy to set up, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do—protect your circuits and prevent shocks. If you're looking for a dependable GFCI outlet that’s easy to install and works as expected, I’d definitely recommend this one.

I look after a lot of rental properties, and, as a result, buy and replace a *lot* of GFCI receptacles.I've replaced defective ones, dated ones, updated non-GFCI fixtures, etc. This is an objectively bad choice, and potentially dangerous. For starters, the plastic body (meaning the black plastic case that is hidden inside the junction box - is thin and flimsy. If you handle a GFCI outlet made by a known electrical products supplier, you can tell that plastic is thick, strong, and carefully selected for material charactertics. This is just shiny black plastic. That's a *big* deal, and a safety hazard, for something that could be subject to mechanical force (for instance as you fold wiring into the box, heat (due to a high load or bad connection), etc.A failure here could result in not just a malfunction, but a short or even fire. The white face of the outlet is held to the body by 4 thin plastic click in tabs. So a sharp yank on a cord, or knocking into the face just during regular household use, can easily separate it from the body. That, again, would be a big hazard.Lastly - and this, to me, is just weird...Anyone who has wired an outlet or switch is famililar with the idea of attaching wires *either* using the push in connections on the back, *or* the screw connections on the side. And I know, among electricians, there's debate over preference.BUT - this outlet is *neither*. What look like terminal screws on the side *are not*. And what look like push ins on the back, *are not* either. Instead, you slide the wire into those holes, but they don't engage, like with a push in. You *then* tighten the side screw to fix the pushed in wires in place.I know that's a common way to terminate connections in *some* electrical devices, but I've never seen it in an outlet or switch before.I tried it with both 12 and 14 g wire (both are likely to be encountered in a US home), and neither gave me confidence. Whatever those screws thread into internally is flimsy, and I wouldn't trust it at all. I'm almost wondering if the attached UL sticker is genuine. Why am I giving it 2 stars, and not 1, then?Because many people dismiss 1 star reviews as being "over the top", but actually read 2 star reviews to see what warranted them. For your safety, this review should be read.
