This is a easy to install handrail that will be a good assist at your door. I plan to install mine at the house entrance in my garage. It has one step and this will be perfect for that. Comes with hardware to mount it. I recommend screwing this into the studs for full strength.

This has a nice sturdy build to it with the double beam construction. This is perfect for giving some support on a very short (1-3 step) staircase. We are using this for the kids to hold on to in the 2 steps up from the garage. Really straightforward to install. One thing I didn't like is the wall anchors provided. If you are installing this in drywall do you self a favor and get something designed to hold more weight like a toggler or a metal screw in at least. The anchors provided are not going to hold up if you use them in drywall. I didn't take a star off because the railing itself is a steal at this price and I had already planned on upgrading the anchors. Looks minimal for it's purpose - nice find.

Sturdy, metal handrail is compact, yet provides stability beside steps. Textured grip is nice and installation screws are included.Easy to install. Handrail provides functional safety without obstructing steps. Rust resistant and looks nice.

I ordered this handle to assist me in my application, where I have only 2 steps to get me inside from my back porch. These 2 steps do not require a railing with my town codes, so there isn't a railing there now.This handrail allows me to simply attach this to the side of my sliding glass door, without any extensive work. No spindles needed to provide ground attachment. Perfect.This handrail is a precision weldment, with a thick attachment plate to anchor into my home wall. The handrail weldment attaches to the anchor plate with two flush-mounted bolts (supplied), then the assembly is screwed into the wall with screws & anchors (supplied). This handrail is also entirely black semi-gloss powder coated. Nice.In all honesty, it is wintertime right now, so I will wait until the spring to attach this handrail (since I won't be needing it until then, either). If for some reason I run into any issues - I will report back to this review.

I wasn't sure how I would like having the mounting plate screwed onto the rail as opposed to welded on. I think it's going to work out just fine. My guess is they did it this way so the package would be thinner for shipping. The screws were threaded into the captive nuts, not in the parts bag. The plate is fairly large and plenty strong for this application. It feels nice and sturdy when assembled. There are 6 mounting holes. It fits on a 4x4 post. The paint job is okay, not perfect. It has a smooth texture. It comes with flat-head mounting screws although, the plate is not counter-sunk. I'm sure these screws will be fine but I wish they were a little larger. The screws are also black.
