They're rustic and each pencil is a little different from each other. Some are thicker just like twigs.

The package arrived with all the pencils loose in the envelope, the shrinkwrap was not effective in containing or protecting them. A couple of the pencil tips were broken off, so they needed to be sharpened which made them much shorter than the others. The wood is definitely rustic, and each one is a different thickness, shape, and texture. The wood might be able to be etched, which is what we got them for. I do wish that they were a little straighter, but I can't complain too much, they were not that expensive.
