The box of pencils had been dropped before it was packed to send. The shipping box was fine. Broken and missing pencils, HAIR and dirt inside the box. A very nasty package to receive. I was horrified to find that inside the box. Unsanitary! Disappointing.

Not sure what they are made from but from the start it feels strange. Call me old fashioned but I like wood pencils. I find these harder to sharpen and they don't hold a point. The colors are very dull or light unless you really press down when coloring, layering helps with the color but not that much. Blending.... sort of okay. I can't afford the really nice coloring pencils like prima's etc. so always searching for something that is mid-priced with good results. This was a failure in my opinion.

I caught this set (72 set) on sale so decided to give them a try. Nice range of colors.The pencils do not have a number or name on them which is frustrating. They also do not hold a sharp point very long, they are very soft. However, for $18.95 they were worth the price....I've paid more for worse in the past.Good pencils for beginners and children.

The product by itself no doubt is amazing but the box was horribly damaged, so I ordered a replacement. When the replacement arrived... surprise! another damaged box. As much as need this product ASAP I'm not keeping something I paid for with money damaged. So I'm returning it and never buying it again! And I hope you know that if you buy this product, you will receive a damaged box!

I love love love colored pencils. And I really enjoy most Staedler products. I got these pencils because I bought a set of tinted watercolor pencils h really liked them. But these pencils are just terrible. I own a LOT of colored pencils. From Prismacolor to Crayola. These are by far the worst of them all. First of all, they don't have any numbers or color names. Next is the issue with the scratchiness of the pencils. I couldn't even swatch them out because they kept gouging the paper I was using. Because of this, they are extremely difficult to blend together. The tips break very easily as well. Don't waste your money. Even the Amazon Basic colors are better than these.

I’m a absolute beginner so I’m playing around with coloring. However, the pencils do not identify their colors so I don’t know what I’m using.
