I use these when I'm grooming dogs. The nice big q-tip allows you to clean out the ear canal faster. Sometimes you have to be careful because the cotton swab is not completely at the end, so I always pinch the end to make sure the wood stick is not poking through.

I have 4 beagles and they tend to get dirty ears and infections. These help me really get down in there and clean them out. The longer length and large cotton head make them easy to use.
