I bought these to use for some experiments so I'm not too disappointed. The good thing about them is that they are very inexpensive and reasonably durable. Everything else is questionable. The most serious issue is that the body is molded in one piece, not segmented like most recorders. The upper part of the mouthpiece is separate and can be removed to expose and remove the windway, which is also a separate piece. Also, the finger holes are all in a straight line instead of having the bottom hole offset to a natural playing position and the bottom ring-finger hole is not recessed like on a standard recorder, making proper fingering very difficult.The description says they are in the key of A, but not to worry, they are actually in C (sort of) as is standard for soprano recorders. They are a bit smaller than a standard soprano recorder and thus the pitch is a bit higher, somewhere near C# instead of C. The intonation is way off and it seems to use the German fingering system rather than the Baroque, but that doesn't really matter since these are only useful as toys.These might be fine as party favor toys, but if you want a recorder to actually learn and play on, get a Yamaha or Aulos recorder.

Have not personally tried these. I am packing them in my shoeboxes. They have to be the last thing in the boxes to fit and go corner to corner. They look like they will be fun.

I think they look cheap but I think they will work. Not a bad item for the price. I will use it with my 5th grade music class.

I got this for my toddler students…they were great for teaching the children breathing exercises and other beginner concepts…the music they made was beautiful ( others may have thought it was noise:) Great value. They were easy to clean, because they were made of plastic I submerged them in soapy water,washed,rinsed and allowed to air dry.
