This is a series piggy back cord which means a switch connected to the black and white free leads controls the power to the device plugged into the female end. The cord is composed of 6' of 18 gauge/2 conductor SJTOW Stranded 105C Cable.

Had a tree fall on the septic electrical box and crushed all the wiring, I was able to splice this piggyback plug into the float switch wire and get it back up and running without buying a new pump. Just what I needed
