I loved everything about it. It was super easy to install. Very sturdy. In fact, my front door stoop has dual stairs. So I'm going to purchase another handrail the same size and put on the other side to match. Do not be afraid to try this yourself as a DIY project. Anybody could do this.

We moved into a house with a handrail that was far too short for the length of the stairway. (Had to go down 2 steps to hold onto it!) This is not up to code, so we must replace it for safety. We chose this one because it looked nice and would go well with the decor.Very pleased with the finished project. The handrail was very easy to install (took less than 30 minutes) looks great and is sturdy and has a nice smooth finish.

This was the perfect choice of rail for the garage steps into the house. Sturdy and well made for gripping (smooth but not slick). THIS handrail allows you the versatility, to place the rail supports into wall studs, adding to the support of the rail.

The rail is a very solid piece of wood and the brackets are sturdy. I used this for the two steps down to my garage from the house as I needed a railing since I have balance problems. There were no instructions in the box so I used measurements from another rail i my house to place this one the correct height above the stairs. It comes with both self tapping screws and sinkers. For the short rail I used the sinkers held fine. For a longer rail I would make sure to attach the brackets to a stud. The rail is hard enough that I drilled pilot holes for the screws so they would go in without the heads stripping. You may need to stain or paint the rail to go with your house as it is a medium brown, not dark enough for older houses and not light enough for modern.
