Great product. Stronger than I expected. ***If you use the supplied fasteners and nothing else, you are going to seriously injure someone.***Use Lag bolts or deck screws to attach a 2x4 to the wall-ON A STUD Then mount this to the securely mounted 2x4 and your set.

I gave it five stars, but I also did not use the included screws. Like others I suggest you throw the plastic anchors in the trash. I had some 2.5" SS screws on hand so I used them to get through the 3/4" door trim and thin plywood siding and into the 2x frame. I also drilled additional holes in the anchor plate, a belt and suspenders move, because we wanted the mount to be extra solid. I would have used long screws with any of the similar products. Screwing it to siding or sheet rock and not to a stud would I think just ask for trouble. With #10 screws or lag screws no worries.Even with the extra steps I took the rail was a quick install. It took longer to get user approval of the mounting height than to modify and install it.The house is a light color but the railing is next to a fern and other potted plants and in no ways stands out.

This is great and was easy to install. I wish I would have bought this for my mother a long time ago. It’s very sturdy and she loves it. In fact everyone that comes over loves it and uses it whether they need to or not. I highly recommend it.

The railing itself is a high quality, powder coated, attractive, sturdy product. However, the screws and anchors are tiny and completely inadequate. Even if you hit a stud, it would easily tear out. A tiny, child like screwdriver is included, as well as a pair of gloves?? Instead of that, heavier duty screws and anchors should be provided. So, since the price was good, I bought better hardware. Net review- good product, but come on!!!!!!

Solid and nicely built. Good paint job. Installs easily. As with most products of this type, I didn't use the provided screws, rather I used my own deck screws to anchor it into studs. The finished look is very professional and way better than cobbled together black pipe.
