I got these because my old mouthpiece was getting gross and moldy and i was not able to get it fully cleaned. This was to replace the bite valve on my 3l Osprey hydration sleeve. As you can see from the pictures it is a close match to the brand name one. It is not exactly the same, but close enough that it fits pretty securely.The outer material that you bite down on is a bit less soft than the brand name one, but it is not so hard that it is a problem. The original has a matte finish, and this replacement is smooth, but that doesn’t affect it much at all.The one big issue I had with this is that the center section keeps popping out slightly which causes the water to leak out. I was able to push it back in and get it more secure, but it has happened twice so far, so clearly this is an ongoing problem. To be fair, I do take this into pretty intense hiking adventures and it can get beaten up on those trails.Overall, these are a decent replacement and if you are not scrambling up mountains and pushing through scrub brush where your bite valve is getting bumped around a lot, then yours probably wont have the issues I faced with the center popping out on occasion.

Used this to replace the nozzle on my Osprey hydration pack which had a tear in the plastic. The plastic on this nozzle, however, is much tougher, I used it for a 5 day hiking trip and had only minor issues where the outer clear plastic separated from the red but i was able to push it back together without issue.So far i am happy with the value and the quality of this replacement nozzle, i expect it to last me longer than the OEM based on the quality of materials

I recently purchased a set of bite valve replacement nozzles, excited to enhance my hydration experience while on the go. While these nozzles are designed with convenience and functionality in mind, I encountered some concerns that dampened my enthusiasm.Pros: First, it's worth noting that the design of the nozzles is generally good. They fit securely into my hydration pack and come with a variety of colors, making it easy to customize my gear. The valves provide a nice flow of water, allowing for quick hydration during my outdoor activities. On a positive note, when they are working properly, they are quite effective and comfortable to use.Cons: However, my primary issue with these replacement nozzles is their tendency to leak. I found that even with a properly secured fit, there were several occasions where water dripped from the nozzle, becoming an inconvenience during my hikes. It wasn't a constant issue, but the inconsistent leaking made me hesitant to carry them on longer excursions where I needed to rely on them.Leaking can be a significant problem, especially when you’re trying to stay hydrated during strenuous activities. This unpredictability made me question the overall reliability of the product. I also noticed that the leaks seemed to worsen with changes in temperature, which could be a concern for those who venture into extreme weather conditions.Conclusion: Overall, these bite valve replacement nozzles have potential, but the leaking issue is a critical drawback that cannot be overlooked. While they perform well when functioning correctly, the inconsistencies in sealing can be frustrating, especially in situations where you need your gear to perform reliably. If you decide to give these a try, make sure you're prepared for the possibility of leaks. For me, I might continue searching for a more dependable alternative for my hydration needs.

If you’re not careful the inner red piece gets stuck open and dumps water.
