Galvanized steel post for mailbox mount. As described. This is very nice looking and I did not see any flaws in appearance or function. Very sturdy. Hardware provided for mailbox mounting. (Mailbox not provided.)

I lost my entire mailbox and post in the flood during the last hurricane and had to replace it quickly and got an "all in one" mailbox/post unit. It's ok, but not really what I wanted but I need it up ASAP as I hadn't had a mailbox for a month at that point! (Post Office was destroyed too, so I couldn't even got "get my mail"!)The "best" mailboxes go on top of metal posts/sleeves like this IMO, so I wanted to get one of these to eventually replace the "all in one" one I currently have. (Very busy trying to repair my house currently so not super high on the list, but ON THE LIST!)Upon receiving this I found that it is VERY well built. The finish was flawless, and I saw not a single "defect" of any kind on the surface of it. (Welds were perfect and NO dings or chips.) I live at the beach, so I need anything metal to be rust resistant and the powder coating on this should do well here on The Gulf of America.It is easy to install as it slips right over a 4x4 post, and a mailbox attaches to the top with an adequate number of holes predrilled for you.At the time of review this is available for under $90 which is a good price for something that is such high quality, rust resistant and pretty heavy-duty IMO.

This is an excellent quality post. It's sturdy and strong. Our mailbox post needed a face lift. It was fine structurally, we just wanted something more durable. Our existing mail post is a wooden post that's already anchored in cement, All we had to do was remove the mailbox, put this post over our existing wooden post and secure it with the included hardware. The only downside is that now with this nice new, shiny post, the mailbox looks a little dingy so we're going to have to paint it. Overall, this is an excellent quality post. We're very pleased.

This mailbox post has a very nice black finish, consistently coated, it looks really nice. Any welding appears neat and done well. It definitely has some weight to it, it’s not exactly light and not too heavy, but heavy enough to give me peace of mind on the quality of work and materials used. Pop a 4x4 in some cement, let it dry, and you have a functional mailbox post; Very simple and straightforward project to complete. Perfect height for myself and my mail carrier; My previous post, installed by the previous owner of my home, was installed incorrectly and swiveled so it was an upgrade for both of us. This comes with the hardware you’ll need, essentially everything but your inner wood post (pressure treated recommended of course) and your mailbox. Really like this.

You will need a green-treated 4x4 that goes into the ground and then slip this over the top to the desired height. Works great.
