To be fair, it cut through my brick very nicely-until the arbor had a catastrophic end. Disappointing indeed.

I used this to drill two 4 inch holes in concrete pool deck for a pool rail. I would drill down an inch and then cold chisel the material out. I believe this kept the friction lower. Ended up with a nice clean 4 inch hole right through the concrete pad (4.5 inches). I used it "dry" and not wet. Very, very happy with the results for $35.00. To rent a core drilling machine, it would have been over $350.00. (a portable drill press, basically)

We were installing a portable AC unit in each of our rooms and it required us to drill a hole through the wall to feed the pipes through for the outside heat pump unit. The wall we had to drill through was made of wood and a layer of concrete *4 inches thick) at the end. The hole saw we had bought from Milwaukee was multi-use; however, started dulling out when we tried to use it for concrete. This hole saw helped us finish the job! My only complaint is that it wore out very quickly and I will likely only get 2-3 more uses of this, which will be enough to finish the job. I recommend this inexpensive hole saw if you are looking to drill through less than 6 inches of concrete!

Amazing tool for going through solid brick. I needed to install a dryer vent and was nervous about damaging the brick on the house. I drilled from the inside out. The brick is 45 years old, and very hard. I got out my old B&D 3/8" drill and went to work. The bit worked amazingly well. About half way through, I broke the head off my drill! So, I had to run to the store to buy a new drill. I ended up buying a 1/2" hammer drill. When I got home and installed the bit on the new drill, I went back to work. In no time, I was chipping out the first bit of brick in order to keep cutting (it only goes 2-inches deep. Once chipped, I went back to it, and went the remaining 2 inches in about 5 minutes. After cutting through the brick, you can't even tell the bit was used on something so hard, as it barely shows any wear. Consider me impressed and my wife happy!
