Amazing.I was expecting a couple of drill bits. That's not what these are. I should have noticed how far the diamonds go up the shaft but it's quite over half of it. AND THEY ARE BIG. Way bigger than I anticipated.I bought some different 1/4" tile bits and use these for detail work. Great piece of kit to add to your tile arsenal. Worth buying.I would def recommend.

I have concrete in yard and the joints are very narrow trapping water and causing cracks. These were able to widem them with ease, I was amazed how well with a simple drill. I did it to a dozen channels and it's still very much like new. Pleasantly surprised. They are pretty wide so if you need thin grooves find a different size. Great value and you get two.

I works great and fast on older softer mortar,, but like all diamond embedded tools if you try to go too fast and put to much pressure on it then it will wear down quickly ,,, trick is to let the tool cut and not try to force it too hard especially on new hard mortar...i use a diamond crack chaser saw blade on a angle grinder to do most of the mortar removal and use this tool bit to finish off the tight spots and edges and that helps it last much longer...I like it , i came in very useful in cleaning out the tight spots.

They are good for soft mortar ( not concrete) . I am a tuck pointer . They will remove single bricks and hard to get corners . Little hard to control depth. I actually get the shorter ones for verticals For walls I have to keep pristine , instead of a grinder. No scarring or over cuts.5 stars for what they are . They do burn out . So use them sparingly.

This product worked great for 15 minutes of mortar clearing. It wore down incredibly fast. Perhaps it’s user error, but I’m not sure how I could be more gentle and get the job done. If anyone has suggestions, I’d love some feedback. Thanks!

I got these for use in replacing 40 year old mortar that had been degraded over time because of water coming off a poorly-designed roof line. I found it to be extremely effective in removing the mortar. However, the fact is that the mortar was in such bad shape that I was able to remove it using a flat blade screwdriver and hammer. However, the way I ended up doing the job should NOT detract from the effectiveness of this product. If I were removing mortar that was in somewhat better shape I would definitely have used it.

Mounted these in a RotoZip and a Hand Drill to test the effectiveness. I was able to cut porcelain tile patterns faster than any other tool with the RotoZip. I made extremely fine pattern cuts with the Hand Drill. I highly recommend this as it cut better than any other similar diamond bit I own.

The bit makes mortar removal easy. Would buy again if I ever wear these two out.
