It's not too sticky and has ventilation. I saw another product which was very expensive, but a nurse suggested this. It works great. Wonderful for spouses who just need some sleep. LOL ( You use a piece to tape your lips together) If your mouth is closed, you can't snore. The extra plus is that it lets you breathe through your nose and not your mouth, which eliminates dry mouth. NO snoring equals better sleep.

Can't find in any stores near me. It was what the Dr. gave us after having part of kidney removed. This tape holds WELL! Don't have to worry about it coming off if you get sweaty or from clothing rubbing against. Only drawback is might need to use rubbing alcohol to remove any adhesive after removing. Tape come off easily when you need to change your dressing. Breathable, doesn't irritate your skin. Has small sectioned lengths that make it easy to tear- no scissors needed! I have bought multiple rolls. There's a reason why hospitals use this particular brand. Highly recommend.

I use the 3M Medipore tape to hold my son's naso gastric feeding tube in place. He drools A LOT due to teething. This tape holds up really well to the moisture of constant drooling, while staying perfectly in place. When it's time to change the dressing, it removes easily with very little to no skin irritation. I prefer this fabric medical tape over the paper or plastic medical tape any day of the week. The one slightly negative remark I have about this tape is that because it is white and made of fabric, it discolors very quickly and very easily as it is absorbent. Overall it's a great product and I highly recommend it for versatile medical applications.

This is a surgical cloth tape. It is soft and flexible. It's comfortable stuck to your skin. It holds up to washing dishes--really it does. Pulls off without pulling your skin. It breaths well. I like the 1" size. Be aware that the sticky does get too old to use after a few Years.

Medipore is the best adhering, most comfortable cloth tape I've ever used. Only four stars for easy of removal though because it sometimes leaves adhesive film behind. This tape comes in a roll, but is perforated into squares. The perforation works well though: it won't come apart without effort, and it's impossible to tear this tape cleanly if you wanted to: you'd have to cut it.I use this tape with a small piece of gauze for a light band-aid because this sticks, and protects better and is more comfortable than any band aid I've ever usedMedipore is much more comfortable to use than the 3M Transpore, which is another good tape to use if you need something to stick through hell and high water. When you think of Medipore, think of gaffer tape, and when you think of Transpore, think of gorilla tape.

I like sharp tools and sharp knives, do lots of little maintenance projects, have few callouses, and hate wearing work gloves, so I'm always getting little cuts and dings on my fingers and hands that need protection while they heal in the very arid desert. Bandaids are often too small or thin or have adhesive that gives out as soon as it gets the least bit most, so I usually make my own bandages, and 1" Medipore take is my favorite tape by far. It isn't really stretchy, but can be curved sideways a little to follow the shape of the skin because of the open weave of the fibers. When applied to clean skin it stays on as long as I want it to, for days if necessary, even after getting repeatedly soaked by water. Best of all, it's very soft and flexible and doesn't hurt the sensitive skin between fingers like more substantial tape does when it gets folded in sensitive areas like between the bases of my fingers. That doesn't mean I never use other tapes, including various kinds of bandaids once a wound has started to heal and 2" paper tape to hold gauze in place over a large wound that can't be allowed to get wet, but Medipore is the one product I can't do without.Expert tip: The key to getting any adhesive to stick to skin is to get all of the skin oils off of the surface. Seriously scrubbing the area with detergent under hot water will do the job, but that's unpleasant and often inconvenient and doesn't always do the job. My solution is to use the individually packed alcohol swabs I keep next to my first aid kit to thoroughly rub the area to be taped and the fingers of the hand that will do the taping and let it dry completely before putting the bandage on.

I bought this (and a number of other tapes) to keep Dexcom CGM sensors attached beyond the week or so I can get out of the normal sensor pad. of the options I tried (generic surgical tape, 3M Microfoam, 3M Blenderm, and this Medipore), the microfoam was the most padded, but doesn't stay particularly well. Its also not super flexible so as my skin moves, it tends to release. The Blenderm is the stickiest, but like others have recorded, it caused irritation for me. I don't have sensitive skin, so I was surprised at the itchy redness it caused. The medipore is the closest thing to the sensor pad, so it stretches and moves well. The problem I have is that it doesn't stick to the pad itself, so it's not really helpful. For what it's worth, in the end I've found the best solution is to shave the area completely, then exfoliate it with an abrasive scrub or louffa, then wipe it all well with an alcohol pad. That way I can get a full 7 days or more out of the sensor. I am giving this 4 stars because it is a high quality tape, just not perfect.
