I am using these outdoors to hang my kayaks. They are incredibly sturdy and have held up very well. You can't go wrong buying these!

I was concerned about the bars not being flattened in the back (the top hole is flattened) but they seem to be pretty secure. I recommend using better screws and maybe even installing a very solid mounting board.I don't think they will work well in drywall only. I am pleased with the way the kayaks sit in the hooks. I did not need to use any hold down straps to keep them against the wall.

We deliberated for some time on hanging our two kayaks in the garage. Finally decided on these hooks and couldn't be more pleased. We appreciated that there were 3 screw holes in each as we wanted our 45# kayaks stored on sturdy hooks. We did purchase longer screws as we were attaching directly into wood wall studs. Measured and installed with battery operated drill. Easy install. Very pleased and they look great in the garage!

Just buy local quality screws. Do not use the included hardware screws - osft metal and worthless.
