The sweep is made out of 6063 alloy aluminum and the vinyl is durable and grey in color, both aluminum and metal and all painting is done in the USAThe total height of the sweep is 1 5/8". The aluminum part is 1" and the vinyl part it 5/8". Which will make it work for gaps up to 1 1/8" between door and floor/threshold. Can be used for exterior or interior doors. Heavy duty enough for exterior doors, but subtle enough for interior doors, also keeps sound out, and helps sound proof rooms. Made in the USA by Randall Manufacturing part number 3 FT V-60. Made in USA!Just be certain to measure the door and gap for the sweep prior to ordering. Company accepts returns, but customer has to pay return shipping and restocking fees. Checking my measurements 3 times for accuracy and excellent product descriptions by the vendor made it easy to get it right.I needed brown sweeps to match the door. It was available and color and quality was A+They were packaged very carefully upon arrival.Easy to install.I purchased one with brush on it for the exterior side of my front storm door (no creepy crawly things can come in)and another with the rubber sweep for the inside of the storm door.I think my new door sweeps will stand the test of time.But, of if I needed another, I would not hesitate to order from this company again .

The holes for the screws need to be adjustable. My husband put this sweep on and I had to keep kicking the door open. We finally got out the drill and made the holes bigger to we could adjust how high off the ground the sweep hit and I can finally open up the door.

I used this door bottom on the outside of a screen door. It was just what I was looking for with a flat back that fits against the door and a silver color. The flexible bottom is thicker than other that I have used.
