I am too frugal to buy a coffee maker or to buy prepared coffee from a coffee shop. So, I put ground coffee in the tea ball strainer, place the strainer in a mug, and then pour very hot water over the strainer. After two minutes, I remove the strainer, and then enjoy the coffee. The strainer serves the purpose, quite well.

This diffuser fixes the issue I have with others. It’s larger size and height allow it to settle into the mugs we use for tea! It’s super fine mesh design prevents the tea leaves from leaking into the cup.

If I am doing a soup that I want to be clear, using micro herbs, anything with pickling spices, or when using whole and cracked black pepper I stuff all my spices and herbs inside these and add to the cooking pot. It's like a perfectly clean Bouquet garni that also holds dried spices.

I tested these with a powerful magnet and got almost zero magnetic pull, so I'm thinking these are not steel, or that maybe they are aluminum coated in a thin steel plating. They are a nice design, but I don't like using aluminum with food, and prefer steel.

This product is do much better and easier to use than the tea all I bought at my grocery store. The holes are smaller too, so I can put fine herbal tea into it and not get a gritty beverage. I highly recommend it.
