Was packaged very well for shipment, arrived in perfect condition. Charged the battery for my application in record time. While initially charging, it did give off a faint ozone odor, which is very normal and was expected. The "burn-in" odor goes away after an hour or so into the first charge cycle. This is a very nice UPS controller / charger / converter / cutover switch and I would recommend it for any application where you need a small bank of batteries (or even one, like my installation) that needs to detect loss of utility power and auto-cutover to deep-cycle battery. I am using this as my sump pump backup UPS. The display is nice but the instructions that come with the display are a little vague. There are two buttons on the display, one for power and one for settings, and I assume that they only apply to the power and setting for the remote display and not the charger/converter itself, but I just installed it, so I haven't tested that assumption. True sine wave power is clean power, so I got this one to support the long life of the battery and onboard ups and switch mechanisms. Very easy installation instructions.

You will need a fully charged DEEP CELL Battery ~I purchased the MK Deep Cell - GEL Cell 12V, battery comes fully charge - $460 on Amazon. Take note this is a GEL battery (Lead Acid Battery) On the inverter there will be D I P switches 1 and 2 to position to directions for "GEL" battery (the OFF) position. The inverter I purchased (OLTEAND 2500W at $384 on Amazon - ships with the D I P switches in OFF position) I mounted the inverter to wall and made a wooden stand out of some leftover 4X6 for legs and plywood for top. DONE! I used 1X4 on the wall to give the inverter some breathing room in the back. Position the inverter and predrilled the fastener for the Inverter. Then set the inverter on my little work bench and connected the battery cables to inverter. Then hung the inverter back on the wall into the pre installed fasteners. Then position the battery on the my little table and connected the + and - terminals tight. You will need two wrenches for this. (not Included) The battery terminal bolts are included... Then connected the remote monitor for the Inverter (comes with its own CAT 6 cable.) Then plugged in the inverter to the nearest 20A receptacle. Seeing how there are two (2) sump pumps in my basin I connected only the High Level sump pump to the inverter and left the lower level sump on the same 20A receptacle. The inverter comes with three (3) AC outlets available, one USB and one C-port for back-up power. So I got creative and plug in a LED flood light to the wall for Utility room lighting - DONE. Note: I connected the battery + terminal first, then the - (Negative)...Once the Negative lead connected from the Inverted touched the battery I got a little spark. NO BIG DEAL. Just make sure your Apple Watch does NOT start vibrating at the same time for a NEWS Flash... - Once every thing is connected I unplugged the low level sump pump. This will cause the high level sump pump to be only pump on line. The high level sump pump worked through the inverted with AC power. Then unplugged the inverter and wait for battery back-up on next high level cycle on sump pump. The battery operated flawlessly. Provided battery back-up back through the inverted. GREAT BUY. Hope this helps. HC Clark-ENC U.S. Navy Retired CPO - Russiaville, IN.

This sump pump backup system has been a lifesaver during power outages. It switches automatically between the grid and battery, so I don’t have to worry about anything. The LCD screen is clear and easy to read, and the setup was straightforward. It’s quiet, reliable, and gives me peace of mind knowing my basement is protected. Definitely worth it!

Our power goes out often. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a week and up to 24 hours. It is very important to have a reliable backup energy source to power out wood pellet stoves and refrigerator and freezer. So I bought this and so far it has been working flawlessly.Pros: switches over instantly if the power goes out (no delay). 2500W with 3 120 volt outlets so you can run multiple items at the same time has a USB port and a USC-C port it has switches that you can set to charge all types of 12V batteries. GEL, AGM/SLA, Flooded/Wet, and LiFePO4 25 amp quick charge it also comes with a wall mount remote control and battery cablesCONS: none (as long as it does not fail over time)Very easy set up, this is a true plug and system just supply your own batteries.I highly recommend this uninterrupted inverter charger.

Installed this in combination with an AGM battery. The unit looks solid and came with all the supplies we needed to get it connected (except the battery). Very simple to operate and comes with a "remote control" which shows some limited information and lets you turn it on or off.Plenty of outlets on this to plug in other items in the event you need some juice during a power outage. We feel much better with this in place to run the pump when the power goes out.

Works Well. Monitors the battery and acts as a trickle charger. Found the connections were easy to make. Unit is heavy duty.

This power inverter was very simple to install. It has been working as intended for the few months that I have used it to back up power for my crawl space sump pump. Of course, it normally does not need to function to provide back up power, but during hurricane Helene it provided huge peace of mind when we had no power during the heavy rain between periods of running our back up generator. It is also very important for giving us confidence if traveling and away from home, knowing that the sump pump will run even if the power goes out. It is extremely important to us to have a dry crawl space to maintain the health of our home and family.
