I bought this so that I could Descaled my tankless water heater myself, rather than paying a ridiculous amount for a plumber to come do it for me. All you need. Is this pump, a bucket, two short hoses, and some vinegar. The ease of use, and high flow rate of this pump, make it ideal for this purpose, or any other water pumping needs. I would strongly recommend it to anyone because of the high-quality, and very affordable price.

The pump worked great the first time and when I went to use it the second time it worked for a few minutes and then tripped the circuit breaker no matter which outlet I used. I tried calling the company for support but could not find a number to call. I called the number Google provided and that was not the correct number. If you do buy it I would buy the warranty.

3 month update: just recovering from some crazy flooding that happened in the area and wanted to update on this pump as it performed excellently! The water eventually overtook my cinder block raised crawlspace, but this pump put up a fight! This pump was able to keep my crawlspace dry despite one side of the cinder block foundation being about 4-6 inches under water! Eventually the water got above the drain vents and the sump basin was completely under water, however I left it plugged in and the pump was able to keep up at about the same rate water was pouring under the house, it ran for at least 24 hours continuously before the flood water went down and it caught back up. At one point early in the flooding it sucked in a pebble and got siezed up, I dissembled the bottom of it and removed the pebble and it still worked perfectly! Another occasion, the float switch got stuck and this pump was stuck on despite the sump basin being empty other than the water coming in from the sides, the metal casing of this pump had gotten pretty warm but it still worked! I don’t like this switch design as I’ve had it get stuck quite a few times compared to the old cast iron pump I had, but I love the actual pump and it’s super tough in my experience! I’d even more so recommend it now!Using this in the sump pump under my house after the previous cast iron 1/3 hp pump died after about 3 years. This stainless steel pump is a whole lot quieter than the previous pump and seems to clear out the basin in about the same time. Was easy to install to my 1-1/2 buried pvc with a little $3 adapter for the thread. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the last with it being stainless steel. I’d recommend so far!

I bought this to drain my Hot Tub and works great. I’ve only used it once so far. Highly recommend. Make sure to turn your water temperature down a few hours before you plan to immerse in the water if it’s used for a hot tub. Sub pump is a great tool to have around the house for any floods that may occur.
