NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with a motorized charge port door, you may need to push the charge port door closed.
If your Tesla vehicle is too old, we do not recommend using the CCS1 TO TESLA adapter to charge your Tesla vehicle. Some Tesla models require an ECU upgrade to enable use with the CCS1 charging station: Model 3/Y built before 06/2020 and between 06/2021-09/2021; Model S/X built before 02/2020.
Why does my CCS to Tesla adapter not work?
In general, the ccs adapter does not work mainly due to the following reasons:
1. Tesla vehicles do not support the CCS adapter.
Solution: Verify the compatibility via: Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information > CCS Adapter Support : Enabled. Model without CCS1 function please go to Tesla to do ECU retrofit and upgrade to the latest system.
2. The operating system of Tesla vehicles is not up to date.
Solution: Please visit a Tesla service center to check if your vehicle's operating system is the latest. If not, upgrade to the latest Tesla operating system and then try charging with the CCS adapter.
3. Some third-party DC charging stations do not support charging with the CCS adapter.
Solution: Please try two or three different third-party DC charging stations.
4. Adapter issues.
Solution: If you have tried the above three methods and the problem of the CCS adapter not working persists, it's an adapter problem.

So far, A+. Easy to plug in and getting great charging rates from a level 3 DC charger nearby. Adds great flexibility to charge more places. Seems very sturdy and well-built.

I have a Tesla and was going on a cross-country drive and was worried about having access to charging stations. As a precaution you can buy this device as an adapter for your Tesla to be able to charge at other other non Tesla charging stations. I was never forced to use it on my trip, but I did try it and it worked great. I would highly recommend it as a backup if you have a Tesla to be able to frequent all non Tesla locations if necessary. It's simple to put on and take off which takes about a second and seems like a fair price. It then charges as effectively as all the other chargers.

Adapter works perfectly with the Tesla model Y and all other types of Evo charging stations, not every station is a Tesla station and that adapter makes life simple would suggest buying even just as a back up in case you’re traveling good quality, heavy duty plastic easy to connect

This has definitely been worth every penny for me. It's paid for itself multiple times over with cheaper/free charging spots littered all over. When I first got this and wasn't used to how rough some ccs plugs can be I (stupidly) tried jamming the thing into my car as hard as I could. The little stick then bent and I thought I broke it. It seems that it's meant to give if you put enough pressure on it so it doesn't break if someone tries to break it to unplug your car.Super easy to use too, just pop the adapter on the plug, plug your car in, and depending on the place you're at, it's as simple as pressing a button.It works as intended, so far I haven't hit 250 kw capability on a third-party charger but it's able to handle every charger I've been to so far.This will fit every Tesla except for Cybertrucks.

I bought this adapter to replace the Hanshow adapter I used for my Tm3lr. The nacs end of the hanshow inside male part of the plug got bent and was difficult to bend back and use. This replacement adapter fit on the ccs plug much easier and was much easier to remove when finished charging. Seems to be good quality. I like the storage bag that was included.

This was a great purchase, even though some CCS chargers aren’t as fast as Tesla superchargers it’s nice to have this as a back up just in case.
