This is the best value in fatwood that I have found at any vendor. I use a lot of these kindling sticks, as a wood fire is my sole source of heat in my mountain home. You can build your pile of paper + kindling + larger wood, then light a couple of these and tuck them in your pile where they'll stay lit with a hot flame-- gets your fire off to a great start.Not all fatwood has enough resin in it to generate these results, though. Low-quality fatwood, or fatwood that has sat in storage too long, won't readily light and stay lit. I've ordered twice from this vendor, and every stick in each of these big boxes is dense with resin.I've ordered from various vendors, both reputable and lesser-known. In addition to this being the best quality, it also has the cheapest price per pound.Super happy with my purchase-- winter is coming and the less I fight with my wood stove on a cold night, the better.

This product works as well as more expensive fatwood that I have purchased. I am very happy with it as I only have wood heat in my home and when it is cold I want my fire to start quickly. Fatwood always helps. I am very happy with this purchase!

I've tried a couple different brands of fat wood. So far, none compare to the quality burn of these sticks. They are super saturated with naturally occurring fuel. With other brands I've had to use five or six sticks to get a good fire going. With these three or four does the trick! Worth the money, fire building is a breeze!

These fat wood fire starters are a must for fussy wood stoves. Throw them on the coals, add your fire wood and they start right up. Or start from cold with lots of paper, they catch quickly. The amount you get is a good value and will last a good long time.

I bought this large amount of fat wood for different reasons: personal use, practice different Fire starting techniques and to demonstrate fire starting without a matCh for my son’s BSA troop.I have used the fat wood to start fires using retro rods on personal camping trips. The wood can be shaved off for tinder and used as kindling, it readily accepts the sparks from a retro rod and subsequent fire building is easy.On a recent camping trip and backyard bonfire fires were easily started and built despite wet conditions.Lastly, the wood is all natural so being able to use the wood to describe fat wood to scouts will be exceptional. Haven’t had the opportunity to execute this training yet but the wood is prine example of fat wood in both color, small and texture (one can see the turpin in the Wood).If you are looking for fat wood I highly recommend this brand.
