The comments about a lack of proper documentation are very accurate. You cannot even find information on the internet. There are USB ports, but for what? What does the “fault” indicator mean? Incredibly poor manual.Further, the voltage from my PV is very steady, but when measured at the MPPT terminals, the voltage fluctuates wildly. This will likely get returned.

Update they have sent me a new one which is very kind. I’m going to try it out and update but I’ve giving them 4 stars for customer service. When I test the new one I will update again. The screw won’t close and I haven’t had it a full 6 months yet. Disappointing

5 STARS only because it can be used for charging up bigger systems but it still can only go up to 24 volt systems. This can be used for emergency charge up and if done right, it can charge a battery to run a smaller 8k AC or small wattage heater for small space emergencies. If done right, it can be scaled up but than max wattage from solar has to be utilized for bigger battery systems.I will update if I notice any hints or recommendations that should be noted.

This mppt works great. I've tried 2 100 watts panels in series and parellel. I tried 4 100 watt panels in series and parellel. I recommend this mppt for a basic solar controller. I'm currently using it on 2 100 watt renogy panels in series.

I cannot say anything on long term at this point as I have had it hooked up for only 3 days now, but I am Impressed, this unit really puts out MPPT faster than my Epever and in comparison better than my Epever 4210AN with MT50 remote, which costs a bit more. Only complaint is no back light and no clock. I would say its a good bang for your buck. I am however running this unit on 2x12V open lead acid DC batteries, so I dont know how it performs with a Lifepo4. Considering its price, it doesnt have many settings or info, so pretty basic, in User settings one can make some changes. To sum it up its easy to hook up and use out of the box. Ok update 4 weeks in still amazing unit still out performing my Epever piece of crap.

This is a good size with good capabilities for the home solar power system. I think the digital display is awesome. It appears to be of good quality.

The instructions were poorly translated gibberish. The cheap plastic unit has two built-in cooling fans that hopefully prevent it from overheating, otherwise 🔥🧯🚒 Too risky for me, so I returned it, spent the extra 75 bucks, got a Renogy Rover. Solid construction, clear instructions, and no stupid cooling fans. It’s running my system right now. You get what you pay for.

Easy installation and it's working fine. It is a real MPPT, unlike less expensive ones that make that claim. This one shows the voltage and amps coming in from the panels and also the voltage and amps going out to the battery. And there really are more amps going out than coming in. I knocked off one star because the screen is hard to read. There is no backlight and you can't be looking at an angle to read the screen. So I have to crouch down to see it. There is lots of information there, just hard to read. I've only had it a few days so it's too soon to evaluate reliability. So far so good.

No way to adjust absorption voltage. It is supposed to be 14.6 Volts, but I measured 14.7 Volts (with Fluke Meter). This is too high for my LiFePO4 batteries. It seems like the Lithium settings are an after thought. Probably OK for Lead-Acid batteries. MPPT function DOES work since I measured significantly higher current at the charging output that at the solar input. I bought a Victron at 3 times the price since I can't risk my expensive batteries.

Since I'm planning to expand the number of solar panels I've got for a shed, I needed something to handle a bit more than 10amps. With that, this is the first time I've used a charge controller of this type. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it and it works well. Tested it out with a 100w panel and was doing well sending power to the battery while running some lights. Checked the settings for cutoff and charging and functioned as intended.Pros:-Hooking it up was simple and straightforward. You'd be hard-pressed to mess up the wiring as it's printed clearly on the controller.-Setup for charging is simple enough. It gives you control of what level of voltages you want for charging, floating, and cutoff.-Run lights and charge USB devices from it. You still need to have it hooked to a battery but being able to run lights and such directly from the box is nice.Cons:-Menu/setup controls are a little basic. -It is not designed for outdoor use or to be in the elements. Overall, it does the job and does it well.
