I have tried multiple valves and hydration bags. The Gregory and Osprey hydration resiviors have all failed. This bite valve is reliable. Not perfect, but much less susceptible to issues than others.

The outer diameter would not fit the water reservoir feeding tube

My Osprey is a 2.5L capacity and this valve does not fit. I tried soaking my connector tube in hot water to soften it, and it still does not fit. I'm now heading out for a hiking weekend and will either need to stop somewhere to buy a new pack on my way or will be balancing water bottles with hiking poles. Buyer beware.
