After my son started batting lessons with his trainer, he got horrible blisters between his thumb and finger. This little gadget was the answer to his problems. I may order me a couple more for doing yard work and sweeping/mopping.

My son considers these a requirement. I haven't noticed a difference in his batting average or ability to hit the ball further or anything like that but he says they help to reduce the felt vibration from the impact of bat to ball. Okay.

If you’ve been looking at these thumb guards- just try them already.I kept seeing them, and didn’t realize how nice they are to use. I decided to try this set. The blue matches our team. Plus, the value is pretty nice, so if they didn’t help- I wouldn’t care. I like that it comes with a set of 2. We have such a wide range of sizes on the team, I wasn’t sure how these would fit. My son is 7, and he’s a very small 7. While they are big on him, he was able to use them. The gloved photos are him using it, and the bare hand is me. They fit me perfectly well too. They definitely damper the sting from batting. It’s a product I never knew we needed. I wish there were smaller sizes when he first learned to bat and couldn’t handle the bat sting. We also notice many of the pros using similar products too.

I don't know who designed these, but they don't work at all. So, I guess we will stick to batting gloves. Sorry to say I cannot recommend these.

I was trying out for a softball team, I feel that if I was a professional that it would work perfectly. But since I didn't really know what I was doing on either end, it only worked a little bit. However, I can see where there is potential.
