Multiple Specifications Wood Cutters
There are TWO Specifications of 3 flutes CNC bits for woodworking. The shank is 3.175mm(1/8 inch), cutting length is 12mm, 15mm.
Please choose a cutting length that exceeds the board by 2-5mm, or it will result the CNC endmill breaking.

Long life in soft non ferrous metals and able to cut very smooth profiles. A lot of value for the moola. They work very well for materials they were designed for.

I ordered these for use with a CNC router, which unfortunately I have not finished building yet. So in order to create a timely review I did some brief testing in my bench-top milling machine. It is an older machine with relatively low spindle speeds (2k RPM) so its not ideal for testing these small bits. They do cut nicely, however, even at slow speeds. The bits are extremely sharp so I anticipate they will work great for cutting hardwoods or aluminum in a router. They also look really cool with the diamond-like-coating. My test cuts showed good performance in alder plywood, 6061 aluminum, and mild steel. The plywood had a lot of fuzz on the surface as expected from an upcut bit such as this. The high-helix angle in these makes them better suited for high RPM's and softer materials but I had no problems cutting steel with a slow, steady feed and some cutting oil. Since they are designed for soft metals its no surprise I had the best luck when cutting aluminum. Overall a great product that's reasonably priced and works great.

Ran these in C145 copper with no coolant (because I'm lazy) and air blast. Cut surprisingly well; I usually break "regular" geometry tools but thought I would give these a shot with the tighter helix; glad I did.

I'm not a professional machinist so I'm maybe not the best to assess the cutting ability of a tool, but on the other hand if I haven't managed to break a tool yet that's always a good sign.

I used these for rebuilding a mostly aluminum chicken nest box and they worked like a charm. Very pleased with them. I also appreciated the packaging which allows me to better organize and find what I need. As for value these are priced in the middle so overall a good buy.
