The first thing I noticed about this electric grill when I took it from the box is how lightweight it is. I have had quite a few electric skillets and grills over the years and I've never had one quite as lightweight ..... Almost flimsy.I followed directions and washed it and heated it for 10 minutes to burn off any oils from the factory. All the while it was heating, it was making strange popping noises. But I let it heat at the max temperature for the 10 minutes. Then I turned it down to 300 degrees. The thermostat leaves a whole lot to be desired. It has quite a bit of empty space before it shows the lowest temperature of 200 degrees. Then it shows 250 degrees. The next temperature it shows on the dial is 300 degrees and then it goes to 425 degrees. Between these two numbers, you just have to guess. This is very poor design. The lid is tempered glass and seems to be a quality lid.As the grill was heating, I noticed how wobbly it was. Just touching on the thermostat causes it to bounce up and down. This grill also doesn't have a removable grill plate so cleaning will be a problem when I'm trying to wash it without getting water on the area where the thermostat plugs in. The Amazon listing says to just put grill plate in the dishwasher. There is NO detachable grill plate. The instructions in the box say to never immerse the grill or the thermostat plug into water. So, that leaves trying to wash it by hand without getting the outside wet where the thermostat plug goes.I will try to continue trying to use this grill if it proves not to be a safety hazard. I did reheat some leftover pizza from Domino's and it did a good job of that. It returned the crust to crispy and melted the cheese and warmed the toppings. I did this at 300 degrees with the lid on. If you're looking for a way to reheat your pizza, it might work for that. I also made some pretty good quesadillas on the grill at 350 degrees. I'll continue experimenting with different foods to get a better idea of what this grill is capable of.There's no recipe pamphlet or any directions as to what temperature to cook meats or vegetables. This addition would certainly help a lot.

I was excited to receive this grill since I have been using a large electric skillet to heat grilled cheese sandwiches. This 12-inch round grill would be more compact and easier to clean because of its size. Most grills are high and elongated which makes them difficult to store in the kitchen. The webpage description states: "After all the cooking and prepping is done, place grill plate in the dishwasher for quick and easy cleanup." The grill plate is not removable or if it is, there are no instructions as to how to remove the grill. This grill is compact so stores easily in the cupboard. It has a well-made glass cover which is a nice feature. The grill does need some design improvements.*It has two temperature ranges, 200 – 250 degrees, and 300 – 425 degrees. There are no intermediate degree markings so it is a guess whether you have the temperature set at 325, 350, 375, or 400. In addition, the temperature degree panel is easy to read in the 200 – 250 degree range but the 300 -425 degree range is dark orange, making it difficult to read. I used a flashlight and a magnifying glass to read the numbers. The space between the on and off section on the dial is over one inch before you reach the 200-degree mark so that space could have been used to add different temperatures instead of 200 – 250 and 300 – 425.*The cool touch handle and rim that surrounds the grill can be damaged and are apparently not made of heat-resistant silicone. I used the 425-degree setting while experimenting with the temperature control and the extreme heat damaged the rim as shown in the attached photo so I recommend not grilling a steak at 425 degrees.*There are no instructions as to what temperature to cook a hamburger, chicken breast, or fish filet so you will have to experiment with the temperature as you would with a stove burner. The suggested design improvement kept me from giving this a five-star review..

I am glad that I ordered the Prime Cuisine12-inch round indoor ceramic electric grill with an adjustable thermostat control and now have it available in my kitchen for cooking some of my favorite dishes. It comes with a tempered glass lid that allows me to see through it to monitor whatever it is I might be cooking in real time. The lid serves not only to keep the heat inside, but also to minimize spilling and splashing while cooking. I like that the heating element is spread across the surface of the grill to allow for heating evenly without undue hot and cold spots. There is a control dial that allows me to control the temperature that best suits whatever it is I am cooking at the time. The Company advertises that the grill is free of PFOA, lead, cadmium, and other harmful chemicals that for me is a necessary requirement for any non-stick cooking surface that I use in my kitchen. Last night after cleaning the grill and burning off any oils remaining from the factory I cooked myself a portion of fish and was very happy with the results. I can't opine yet on the long-term durability of this grill, but I can say that for now I am quite content with its performance and hope to be able to continue cooking with it.

I am extremely impressed with the 12 Inch Round Indoor Ceramic Electric Grill. The adjustable thermostat control allowed me to easily set the temperature to my desired level, and the cool touch handles made it safe to move around while grilling. The nonstick pan made cleaning a breeze and the tempered glass lid was great for keeping an eye on the food while it cooked. I was able to cook a variety of foods to perfection, including meats, seafood and vegetables. The compact size of this grill is perfect for small apartments and condos. I highly recommend this grill to anyone looking for a high-quality indoor electric grill.
