These switches are very low quality and do not withstand the heat of soldering well at all. They will quickly melt if the iron remains in contact with the solder tab longer than a second of two. I would guess the case material is nylon given the feel and the very low melting point.I strongly suggest the use of a good flux when soldering to these switches to minimize the amount of time the iron must remain on the solder tab.I do not recommend these switches.

These will do what they are supposed to do. I fried a couple of these with my soldering iron, maybe my skills aren't quite up to snuff for working with components as delicate as this.

Decent switches, good quantity. However, for those who care, these do NOT come with washers (Serrated or regular) Missing that detail was my mistake as I noticed too late when placing an order. But for certain projects and applications they make a huge difference between a secure switch or a loose one.

It's a small 2 way switch, it switches...Used it to add a USB power supply to a small battery powered light in my Daughters room. Now I can switch between the usb power jack I added and the original battery compartment without it accidentally getting double powered.

I was looking for some tiny toggle switches to use on small, battery-operated projects. These looked perfect, but I was concerned about some of the negative reviews. Here are my results, anyway:1. 10/10 switched perfectly out of the bag.2. 10/10 had the same switch "feel".3. So far, One that I soldered wires to still worked perfectly.I suspect that some of the problems mentioned might be from excessive soldering heat. As micro miniature switches, these are not intended for high wattage soldering irons or large-gauge wire attachment. If you are looking to attach heavy (greater than 24 gauge) wires or to control high power or to use a 50 W soldering iron, these probably should not be used. You should also not apply soldering heat for more than a couple of seconds. Pre-tin both the terminals and the wires to be soldered, then just melt them together in a second or so.
