It can destroy a marriage. Some one needs to fix this so that the zigbee v3 detects this as a temperature probe and not as a light in Home Assistant.

I ordered the device with the idea to control temperature in my garage where I have some equipment that might freeze during the winter when the outside temperature sometimes drop below -10'C. The device is using water protected sensor that supposed to work in wide temperature range form -20 to + 70 'C, so that promise in the description was the reason to order it.The delivery went very fast, thanks to Amazon, and I get it two days after the purchase. Two weeks after that I finily managed to free some time and mont it. Connecting it to electrical network is not very hard but requires some knowledge, skill and instruments that average user might not have, so it is probably best to call electrician. Anyway, it was not problem for me and I have connected in in less than 10 minutes. ZigBee router sense it immediately and registration in Tuya Smart app went flawlessly. But here the good news ended. The app shows "The probe is not detected" message. I checked the probe connector and re-plugged it few times without any change. Then I realised that regardless the indicated problem the device somehow manage to colect some data because I was able to see it in Statistics screen but it was completely wrong showing positive temperatures where the whole day temperature was around -4'C, according the Weather app.It could be the problem is only in this device but I am somehow disappointed, so will return it and will look for other possibilities.

I got a couple of these to monitor my pond temperature and my back yard outdoor temperature and humidity. I use SmartThings for my smart home system and there is no native driver support for these devices. However, I was able to work with some driver developers to get these working.If you only need the temperature and humidity sensors, Wesley's "Personal Tuya Devices EF00" driver with the generic profile will work, but it requires advanced configuration.If you need sensors and switch, Mariano has VERY GRACIOUSLY added support for these devices to the Zigbee Switch MC driver, with full support for both sensors and the switch.If you use HomeAssistant or Hubitat, it looks like there are existing community made drivers available, but I cannot comment on them.With these working, I can now monitor the temperature in my koi pond and keep better track of maintenance and feeding schedules. I can also run weather-based automations locally, without needing an internet-based weather provider.If you're buying these, you already know what you're getting yourself into in terms of driver support and setup - they are not exactly plug&play. With that in mind, I'm not docking any stars for the headaches that I knew to expect before I bought them. And past those headaches, these things are great.

First of all, I'm knocking down an additional star for this being a Tuya device. The whole point of an open standard is that I don't have multiple proprietary apps for all the different things I want to use. Fortunately, there are some community drivers available for my Hubitat which work "well enough" to integrate this device and use the temperature input. Temperature value appears fairly accurate and reliable, and updates well.One of the unique aspects I like about this unit is the hardwired 120v terminals - most sensors are using batteries these days. The mounting holes are too small for all but the finest thread screws, and the wire connections are made right in front of the screws, so the unit is best mounted before connecting wires (this can create some challenges if mounting in tight spots.) The cover protecting the 120v terminals isn't sealed, so it is possible to still something conductive by the device and be exposed to voltage.

It was recognized out of the box with home assistant "zha"But as another reviewer said it only had the "light" which is the output on/off switch.It didn't have temperature.This was disappointing Since I bought for temperature monitoring only.I had read that there was a home assistant quirk to allow it to read temperature so i installed it and now the temperature is working.To find the quirk, search for "TZ3218_7fiyo3kv home assistant". There is a thread on this in the home assistant community.Thanks so much to the guy who wrote the quirk.For the price this is so much easier than messing with esp chips and esphome

Really solid zwave signal. Using the device with Hubitat, and it works flawlessly. I have the probe in a chest freezer to monitor if the freezer fails, and it's perfect for that. Highly recommend

La sonda impermeabile lo rende adatto anche per installazioni in luoghi umidi, come cantine o cucine. Con una capacità di gestione fino a 16A, è perfetto per applicazioni che richiedono un controllo preciso di apparecchi ad alta potenza.Per utilizzarlo con Home Assistant, è necessario configurarlo come dispositivo "quirks" abilitando questa opzione e scaricando il pacchetto corretto. Sebbene questo richieda un po' di configurazione iniziale, una volta completata, il dispositivo funziona perfettamente e si integra senza problemi con il sistema di automazione. Inoltre, l'app Tuya offre un controllo remoto semplice e intuitivo, ideale per chi vuole monitorare le temperature anche a distanza.In conclusione, questo sensore è un ottimo strumento per chi cerca un'opzione affidabile per il controllo della temperatura, compatibile con piattaforme come Tuya e Home Assistant, anche se richiede un po' di configurazione iniziale.

This Zigbee temperature sensor is very reliable. It connects easily to home assistant and provides accurate readings. The waterproof probe is a great feature.

The one irritating thing is the temp unit on main screen tile. It's forever showing Celsius when in fact I've set probe and hub to Fahrenheit. When you go to device it show Fahrenheit fine. So with hub home tile showing Celsius any automation doesn't function properly. Twice I have reached out about issue via tuya smart app. Zero f's givin. Now I'm off to leave a 1 star review for tuya hub, cause who knows which is to blame.

De schakelaar werkt prima, maar helaas werken de temperatuur sensor (nog) niet met ZHA (Zigbee Home Assistant). En juist daarvoor had ik hem gekocht.
