Overall a powerful gimbal. It supported a Canon R10 with a 24-105mm without issues. I absolutely love the touch screen and balancing the gimbal was typical if you've ever used a gimbal before. The battery lasted the entire shoot, which was on and off, around 8 hours. I used this along side a Scorp-C gimbal which also performed well but did find the camera with lens a bit heavy. This Crane made light work of it, as this is what it's designed to do, handle a heavier load than smaller gimbals. Overall, its easy to use. The only downside is that in comparison to the Scorp-C, which is very ergonomic with a handle, I have to buy a handle for this Crane gimbal which is $134 at the time of this review! At first I thought they had just forgot to pack it, but after researching, it is so. To me, that seems like something that should be included but its a purchasable option. I didn't find that to be a good value considering the price point of this Crane 4E. There is a bundle that includes it but the bundle costs more as well. As far as weight, it's a little heavier than the Scorp C but it's also a little bigger and robust. Overall, its a very well built and a seemingly durable gimbal with a nice feel to it. Side by side, I can definitely see and feel a difference using the 2. I still love the Scorp-C, especially since it has a handle and its much lighter but for the heavier loads, you have to get a gimbal like this. I feel like for those gigs, this Crane 4E fits the bill although it's not as freeing as if I had a handle! It does stifle my creative flow but I am just having a hard time justifying spending over $100 for an "option" that I feel should be included at this price point. I had to take a star off for that since that does affect the overall value and the experience of using and enjoying this gimbal.

I don’t know what the weight capacity is, but I haven’t reached it yet, and that’s with an a7c with a tamron 35-150 lens, cage, video tx, mic, etc. you need the handle though. Don’t get this by itself, get the accessory handle too.

I have tiny phone gimbal from Zhiyun long long time ago. It was working fine, so I had good feeling about Zhiyun, but then the app store removed the app, and I can no longer use app to contol the gimbal on my new Android phone.Since Crane gimbals are very popular, I thought I would give a try. With cost about 1/2 of what regular Crane goes for, this 4E is steal. From what I learned, it has almost similar feature as regular Crane 4.The gimbal came in a carboard box with a foam. Unlike Crane 4 or other companie's gimbal purchase, there is no case included. I guess they need to cut the cost, but would have been nice if they included one. At least it came with the foam that can be fitted into any case you may have (like Pelican case).I balanced my Lumix camera with a cage and anamorphic len (it's pretty hevy setup for a mirror less camera). This gimbal has the strongest motor I every seen on any giball under $500 I used before, including Moza and Feiyutech (Manfrotto) I own. I'll see if I can add SmallRig battery pack (v99) on the setup and see if the gimbal can handle. The gimbal itself is heavy, but can be handle easily with two hands - I recommend extra handle attachment. As I said this gimbal has the strongest motor power out of my gimbals, and handles any movement without any studder. Movements are butterly smooth.I have not tried any remote controlling funcition yet (need to buy a cable for my camera) or Zhiyun follow focus system (I have two follow focus system from another manufacturers).Button operations are easy enogh and I get used to them quickly.I have not tried phone app yet. This gimbal is by far the best gimbal I now own and it's great value!Highly recommend.

Gimbal robusto e capace. Impeccabile.

This is my second Zhiyun gimbal, and the fourth gimbal i own. I am a fan of Zhiyun and own both their gimbals and their lighting. They make great stuff at great prices. Having said that, I would not recommend this gimbal even though it works very well. Let me explain, I 'zeroed out' the balance on the gimbal and put my BMPCC6k and Sigma zoom on this camera and while the weight and specific camera are listed as compatible, I just could not get a neutral balance no matter what. Frustrated, I fired up the gimbal and it quickly balanced itself and worked 100% with no shaking, awesome! In other words, even though I couldn't balance the camera with no motors on, the gimbal worked perfectly, no shake, smooth movements and no appearance of the unit straining when the motors were on.So why don't I recommend a gimbal that I think works fantastic? For some reason, this 4E is missing some essentials compared to the higher model 4. First it doesnt come with a lower handle, even though it is available for their Crane 4, which is only slightly more expensive. Unfortunately nobody makes any aftermarket handles that seem suitable and Zhiyun doesnt list the handle on their website for sale. So if you dont buy it as a kit, you cant get it later on. I even tried buying the handle they sell separately for the model 3 but it is incompatible with the 4E and can not be used. Also, the model 4 has LED indicators on the motors indicating when the processor feels the motor is balanced, and the 4E doesnt come have that feature. So for just around 20% more you can get a super versatile drone that includes everything the 4E doesnt, the 4E isnt cheap enough to be any value in my opinion.Get the 4, you wont be disappointed.
