If you’ve been inspired by hand lettering videos before and would like to hone your skill, this pen makes it very easy. It’s a subtle brush pen with a fine tip that adds elegance to script and signatures. Def will purchase again!

I think it’s a really good product and it’s smooth like a brush but better? I feel like it helps me move across the page more and the color is actually black unlike other pens and brushes.

I like this pen a lot honestly. It’s not too opaque but it seems like it would be a lovely calligraphy pen if you’re into that, or arabic/cursive/artistic languages. Ink flow is great.

Nice pen. A little pricey since you're only getting one and it's disposable.

They are very good, and they're waterproof means you can go over them with watercolors and they don't smudge, they're perfect for practicing line weight! It did arrive two weeks late though

First found these at the dollar store in Japan and loved them (don't love how much more expensive they are through Amazon in the States though). I don't use them as a brush pen for calligraphy though. I use them in my planner for accents, making check marks, underlines, etc. They lay down consistent dark and full ink and my first one I got in Japan lasted me several years (but I'm not writing with them every day). The brush part is short enough that it's easy to control while still being flexible to use like a brush.

The pen came from Japan in fairly quick time. Perfectly packaged and even came with a lovely little origami crane. The pen works amazing. It's a great mid-ground between a brush pen and a fine liner. If you're after a fine liner, this will seem very thick. I've added a photo for the line thickness. It varies with pressure and the angle you press down on the page with. It's great for drawing!!

I'm new to calligraphy and was excited to try a brush pen. I would recommend watching a couple of youtube videos - there are calligraphers who post videos of them writing with the various pens they own. It is a good way to get an idea of how the pens write. I have some old Tombows but they are too large for what I'm trying to do so I decided to try a "fude" brush pen. I saw a lot of good reviews on the Pentel one but in the videos the tip seemed to squishy for me. I have always liked Zebra pens so I decided to try this one. It writes very well - it's medium firm so you can have control but still easily get the thick and thin lines. The felt keeps its shape very well. This is a great tool to make cards and letters a little more special. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great brush pen for beginners. This is like a smaller version brush as a Tom bow, but much wetter. You'll get a lot of ink out of it and it's best for medium hand lettering.

This is probably one of my favorite hand letting pens to use! It was a dream to learn on and wrote beautifully. I only wish I knew how to properly hold this pen, so I could have extended the life of it. When I was learning, I would press down, while holding the pen straight up, much like I would when using a regular ball point pen. Well, little did I know, that this causes the felt tip to fray. Had I not ruined the pen with my ignorance, it probably would have lasted much longer. If you are looking for a pen to further your hand letting talents, definitely look into this pen! Great quality and easy to use, as well as easy to learn on!

I have been wanting a brush pen that would replace my regular brush or quill pen for inking illustrations and this Zebra pen does just that and more. the great consistency of ink and the long lasting tip that will deliver a very nice thin line when used lightly or a bolder thick line when weighted by pushing harder. I really like this pen and will be interested in how long the tip stays together before it starts separating or goes flat. It already has passed my expectations so i can see me using this for quite some time in my drawings. I would have no problem buying a number of these and keeping them on hand for many more projects.
