It worked fine at the start now it doesn't work at all I need to try all the possible angles just to make sure my laptop is charging which is such a waste of time and money

Both the motherboard connector and the power plug are different than the HP OEM component. The power plug is smaller where it supports the center pin, and the motherboard connector is keyed improperly. I haven’t tested compliance and function yet. I trimmed the key so it could fit in the HP motherboard but this is overall not acceptable fit and finish for a product advertised with an OEM photo.

Needed it to repair a clients' laptop that wouldn't power on. The big blue box electronics store told him the motherboard was out and tried to sell him a new laptop -- replaced this, problem solved.

My son broke the power connector on his laptop after about a month of use... HP did a crappy job of picking a sturdy connector for a gaming laptop. I got one of these to replace the broken factory connector, and it looks identical and functions identically to the original. I am glad I bought two, because I expect to have to replace the connector again.Not an upgrade, but a good-as-new repair part.If you need to replace it once (especially if you are doing it on a laptop that may not be handled gently), you will likely have to do it again... so do yourself a favor and pick up a good right-to-repair toolkit like the one from ifixit.
