After an SSD swap on the Laptop Studio, you may need these strips as its easy to ruin the originals. The strips fit well and appear to be genuine 3M "double-coated tissue tape". Both sides of the strip have a protective plastic film you need to remove. The sticky side is easy to remove, but the other side is a little difficult. Suggest warming up the strips for a few seconds with a hair dryer before fitting. The included metal tool to remove the old strips is ok - it is sized well, but the tool ends are not flexible and you can marr the strip landing areas if you're not careful. If you heat up the old strips and adhesive, you don't really need this tool and you can pull away all the old adhesive with Duct tape. One note is that these strips are a few shades lighter than the darker grey of the originals - they are similar to the grey of the Surface Book 2 strips.

The OEM feet began falling off and cracking apart after only a couple of years on my Surface Studio. This seems to be a recurring theme for the Surface products as every single on I have ever owned has done this. These replacements are great so far. They differ from OEM in that they do not have the alignment nubs/dowels, and they are not a rounded profile rather they have a flat surface. This seems like it makes them a slight bit lower than OEM, but that is just perception I have not measured them. They fit into the recess very neatly, and the included adhesive backing had 3M branded tape applied. The adhesive seems to be holding up well so far. The material used for the feet are effectively non-skid. The included metal scraper has rounded edges that make it a bit harder to det into the cracks where pervious tape was stuck, though I was able to remove it all.The only thing you need to provide is a bit of 74% or 91% IPA (rubbing alcohol) and something to apply that. Take your time, clean the pockets out well and you should have no problem installing these feet.
