Sound is good, quick, easy setup as a phone for Teams use. Only down point is there is no good instructions on how to use it or set it up. The instructions I found online reference the "hamburger" bar in the upper left corner of the display screen, but that does not exist on my phone.

Not functional with new teams, will send calls directly to voicemail instead of answering. Known issue for Yealink with no response for 1+ year.

Truly plug and play. No configuration needed. Works great and people at office prefer a phone set over headsets for most work. Speaker phone is clear and load.

It works pretty good, but the biggest issue I have is the mute button isn’t integrated with the new teams version as of 7/2024.You hit mute on the phone it does not mute teams and vice versa. So you could find yourself double muted or not muted at times during the call.

First off, this is a great option for a desk phone if you use teams. I plugged it in (win 11) via a USB port, with teams running and in a second or so, you have a phone.I have been using a Yealink Smart Business (MP56) phone (voip/sip phone) for a few years and it is great. I wasn't sure what the UI was going to be on the MP45 phone so I was interested in comparing how they worked side by side.A little background, I work from multiple locations and prefer using a physical phone when possible. Just call me old-fashioned or whatever, but physical phones seem more efficient to use. Real buttons, caller id, handset, speaker phone... all goodness in my opinion. Since my entire team is 'virtual' I spend a lot of time on calls and in chats. A phone is important to me.I wanted to have a phone for each location I work at so I dont have to move anything around, cant forget something, etc. The MP45 seems like the deal for me.I love that this gives me that option. The sound quality is very good. The keypad buttons are good. The phone is simple to use. It is powered via the USB plug.The user manual it pretty minimal and really, when you plug it in it works... BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, you should really install the USB Connectivity software (Yealink USB Connect) from Yealink first. I didnt find mention of that anywhere in the 2ish pages of the manual. Without that, the date/time will not auto-update. There are a few other things that it does that you will want, like auto-updates for your phone.Here are things I would like to see improved:- The out-of-the-box plug it in and it works is great. It is not as integrated with my account as my smart business phone (Yealink MP56). No calendar, voicemail, people soft buttons.- No teams avatar. Its a little thing, but when I look at the phones next to each other, I kind of miss it.- No displayed phone number... same thing.- Since there are minimal features, the screen is mostly empty... why not make the date/time bigger- The teams button doesnt seem to do anything but light up... what gives with that- Why display 'PC Softphone' and the dialpad icon. They both do the same thing... for that matter, why not just display the dialpad and a config icon... those are really the only options i have at this time.- The Yealink on-line help is very terse.- This might be a 'very new' phone offering, but I could not find the MP45 phone in the products pages.- The redial feature is not obvious... press the keypad, with nothing on the phone number line, press call... this will recall the last dialed number... then press call again. A redial soft button would be nice.- A history of the last N calls with the option to redial- A lock screen option to prevent unauthorized people from using the phoneAll those things are little items from someone that is using a higher end Yealink phone is noticing. If this is your first phone like this, you probably will go 'cool... this thing just works' and not give them a second thought.I definitely recommend this phone. Its a pretty solid product.This is feedback for Yealink: I hit a bug where I picked up the handset, then pressed the speakerphone button, then hung up the handset and then pressed cancel... it would not cancel the call. It just kept playing the dialtone....for minutes.... I tried multiple things and it would not hang up the phone. I had to unplug the USB cord and plug it back in to get it to work property. I tried several things to try to reproduce the issue but could not. I am not sure what the sequence was that caused this issue but it was a combination of using the handset and speakerphone. I hit a similar issue where I had no dialtone when I expected it.

Connected to my Mini Mac, can receive calls through Teams, can’t make calls at all. Read lots of help forums and it seems to be an issue with the MP45, both Macs and Windows has the issue. Some work some don’t. I could not get the 2 I purchased to work. Bought the MP56, works like a charm. Not sure why the MP45s don’t work, would have been thrilled to figure it out.

I ended up buying theses for a tv series and they look super sleek and modern, would recommend

Despite these drawbacks, it’s a reliable, budget-friendly option for Teams-centric environments where outbound calling flexibility isn't a requirement.
